What a fun track and must be an absolute blast live. Bucket list to yell; " RAISE SOME HELL " at the top of my lungs at their live show the first chance I get. 🤘🐺🤘

Midori and Miyako both give online guitar lessons on rare occasions, though I can't imagine they're too English friendly. Asami wrote this one as a "silly" song so that the band and the crowd could have a fun break from the heavier themes and serious performances of most of their other songs. Also, this was song five of this show.

As regards "We the United", I'd recommend this clip: kzread.info/dash/bejne/opiMuNpmYLmWldo.html because it features the complete video-footage from their 2020-show in Tokyo, whereas the clip you mentioned also features some video-footage from other shows (though the entire audio is from their 2020-show) - perhaps to make it less likely to get blocked. I also second the suggestion of "Frozen Serenade".

Miyako is calmed but look at her face around that timestamp where you stopped, she knows what she just did to us all xD 9:00 I think they'll go next to the USA. They already went twice in 2018 and 2019 to the UK, France, Germany and Spain. Even if their music has a bigger audience in Western Europe, they might want to try in the USA next time. And they are bigger, a lot bigger than before the COVID situation now.

The guitar riffs here, while repetitive, make liberal use of the whammy bar, which is always fun, and one could argue that this song leans a tad closer to hard rock than heavy metal in the strict sense. I doubt anyone minds. It’s a big, dumb, fun song that accomplishes exactly what it sets out to, and that has no pretense of being anything more than that.

As far as their stage presence is concerned, this is definitely the song during which they are moving around the most - it's their party-song, so to speak. As you said, Miyako tends to be within herself during performances. Asami, on the other hand, is a bit touchie-feelie. I love the part just past the middle of the song, where Asami approaches Miyako during the latter's solo, Asami obviously hoping for a physical-bonding moment. Miyako shakes her head to wave Asami off (I don't blame her -- not during a featured solo). Almost as soon as the solo ends, Miyako makes eye contact with Asami and gives her the "come-ahead", which Asami immediately takes advantage of. (After all, Miyako wouldn't want to hurt Asami's feelings). Nice exchange between the two ladies!

That was a fun reaction. There are two things I want to say based on your reaction. I lived in South Korea for 17 years. I was constantly amazed by young Korean women who were able to sprint up or down about three flights of stairs at the subway station like Usain Bolt. The second is this, I wish that Miyako would play that Les Paul in more songs. The Deans are cool, but that Les Paul just has a very much better tone than the Deans to my ears.

As you know by now, Fami is the new bassist. Fami is also incredible, perfect fit for the best band on the planet earth!

This song is just an absolute fucking party. On an album full of bangers, this is probably the one I've listened to most. Swan Song, Thunder Vengeance, Holy War.. It's a fantastic album. Special mention to Dancing With the Devil too with its 80's hair metal (Skid Row esque) vibes.

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of seeing guitarists, especially male, make faces at each other as idiotic and stupid and they are pretty bad, compared to Miyako , who does not need to put on a face, talent is talent. The Lovebites interact a lot with each other, true, but not like the Band Maid manage to do, Saiki, Akane, Misa and Kanami in this respect are unattainable, every concert, apart from the music of course, is the spectacle they create with each other.

It's hard to compare the two though. Band-Maid's songs are generally shorter and not as fast, so it's easier for them to interact with the crowd. And you'll most likely see less crowd interaction now that they've sharted to write more complex music.

@@cepho8349 So this duration thing is nonsense, whether a song lasts a minute or ten doesn't affect the way things are done between the band members and between them and the audience, the Ramstein's do much harder music and very long gigs, in the past ACDC did the same, as did Deep Purple not to mention the Kings, Queen, the contact and involvement of the audience is always active, it's down to how you set up the bands at the beginning, Band Maids will always be inclined to be interactive between themselves and the audience, even if they were to start doing Hip Hop tomorrow.

Great band but never cut it in America, bigger in UK and Europe.

Miyako is all business and she was about 4 months pregnant at this time

Nah, this footage is from Five of a Kind back in 2020. Miyako was pregnant during Heavy Metal Never Dies.

Their stage movement is pretty much tied to the 'tone' of the song. The more 'fun' the song is, the more they move. Lots of movement in this one as well, Dancing With The Devil live ( kzread.info/dash/bejne/n357ya5_hLOzdZs.html )
