You’ve just been introduced to the best band that has ever set foot in front of an audience. Period. 50 tracks, none the same as the last, all performed to this standard each and every time. Best band in existence. Did I say best? Yep. I’m 63 so I’m qualified to say that. Great reaction….because that’s how people who know talent when they hear it react to this song every single time. I am 60 listen to them 3 weeks time last year and also the other japanese bands. Now i can feel my last nerve crack after 20 seconds. And i can listen to Arch Enemy & Jinjer & Rammstein all day and just feel relaxed.

Congratulations for discovering Lovebites and for the good reaction. By the way, you are the first "reactor" who actually succeeds in showing a "goosebumps". It's clearly visible, which no one has been able to properly demonstrate before (at least not in a reaction to Lovebites). From a technical point of view, a marvel. @@marbenthesaffa Thank you. By the way, as some have already said, they are masters of live performances and many of us fans prefer these performances over music videos. Just a word of advice, stay away from any Bloodstock shows because they have horrible audio. The rest is up to you, if you're a metal fan you won't get any bad songs from this band. Power metal, thrash metal, hard rock, ballads, this band does all this and more. EDIT: It is the first time that I write this in any reaction channel but I think you should see this at some point, hopefully in some reaction. Of course, first the normal reaction of "Raise some Hell" and then this one, which is the only drum camera we have from Haruna. I'm happy as one of their fans because they tend to be judged only by their appearance and underestimated without even listening to their performances. LOVEBITES is a new band founded by Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums) in 2016, but made their major debut in just half a year from the first stage and was active mainly in Japan / UK / EU. They have participated in major metal festivals in each country, including "WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018", and have already received high praise. In addition, they are participating in "DragonForce UK Tour 2019" at the offer of Herman Li and playing in 11 cities.

@@marbenthesaffa At wacken open air 2018, the audience was surprised and unresponsive and listened quietly. at the moment when the last song "shadowmaker" was over, members of lovebites received great cheers and "lovebites call". you can see it at "wacken open air 2018 shadow maker".

My favorite current metal band. I think Shadowmaker may be their best song, but it has some competition. Break the Wall and The Hammer of Wrath always blow me away. Have fun. They are talented with a diverse discography.

Lovebites put up some of their older songs that were on a different channel, albeit edited to remove the promotional bits that were from 2017. Shadowmaker is the one that cemented my admiration for this band. 🤘🐺🤘

Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics. They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Lovebites *can* hit you off guard like a freight train at full speed, filled to the roof with perfect Metal, creativity, and joy of playing. They are just u n b e l i e v a b l e. You are left speechless, and in awe. I know your face expression and experience all too well, for I had it myself, just 5 weeks ago, when I got to know them, like you do now. 3 songs later, I belonged to The Wolf Pack (their international fan base) already. 😂 Lovebites are a world phenomenon, music history in the making. It is as simple as that. Anybody who thinks to have some clue of Metal should be supposed to know them, like you heard of Mozart, Bach, Queen, AC/DC. 🐺

Now you know about Lovebites, the Godesses of Metal, but there is waiting more for you: - Band-Maid - Best Hard Rock Band next to The Mexican sisters of "The Warning" - Nemophila - Best Metalcore Band There are much more highly addictive Japanese bands, but I would recommend these for the start.

I’m not much for metal but Lovebites is just plain awesome. I saw Iron Maiden live in 1983 and they definitely awaken the echoes from those days. They are metal goddesses. Next? - “Stand & Deliver” - official MV Japan’s female musicians - there must be something in the water (plus music education starts in pre-school, is compulsory and extensive throughout their primary/secondary education) - there are many excellent all-female hard rock and metal bands from Japan 🇯🇵 you need to check out. Nemophila- Dissension Hanabie- We Love Sweats Bridear - Ignite But, as a Rock guy, I believe that Japan’s BAND-MAID is the best Rock band on the planet 🌏 today. Move over Muse, Tool, Foos…the Maids are just more fun , more heartfelt, and more exciting imho 🤷🏻‍♂️and still bring a very high level of musicianship and musical expression. The band is currently on hiatus after the bassists departure, there was even talks that they might disband since Miho the bassist was the leader and co-creator of this band, good they actually decided no to disband and instead they currently till may 24 have auditions for a new bassist. Hope to see them comeback this year.

@@marbenthesaffa Well in the downtime of them being on a temporary hiatus you might wanna check the band members previous bands, the drummer Haruna and their ex-basist Miho were from DESTROSE another all female power metal band that was insanely goood. For MIyako you might wanna check her side project with Aya Kamiki who is in top 10 of japanese female rock stars, the project is called Sonic Lover Recless but they only have one song, there is also A Drop of Joker. And the other guitarist Midori was part of Gekijou Metalicche. In case of Asami the vocalist i dont have any info on her being in any band previously other than she had quest live appearences as female backing vocals for bands like VAMPS and Uverworld from which i recommend the first one as its one of the bands of the biggest japanese rockstar HYDE. and his songs will literally blow your mind away.
