You did it again on the intro, hard to beat old habits. This is a very simple thin design and reminds me of a watch my grandfather wore. The movie link with the Morse Code is neat.
Just picked up a like new 42mm Murph from a guy that really needed the 38mm. I love this thing. I find my self starring at it sometimes. lol. It is a perfect fit in my search for a nice everyday watch that works in most any setting.
My wife bought me the murph for our anniversary a couple years ago and I love it. Interstellar is my favorite film and I too love movie watches. I found a Cooper (khaki aviation pilot day/date) on eBay for under $500 and picked that one up as well.
I too have this watch, it was a 10 year work anniversary present (I got to choose) and like you I love it. It is the most expensive watch I have, and yet is often my first choice in the morning.
Great watch Randy !! I purchased the Hamilton Kaki Automatic as my first ever Swiss mechanical. My journey continues. 😅
Followed over from the audio side. I'm a touring audio engineer and watch fanatic lol and my every day watch is a Hamilton khaki king, so I absolutely had to check out this second channel. Good stuff man! Keep it goin
I've been thinking about getting a Khaki mechanical for my collection and I will definitely consider this one - congratulations on picking this one up
I’ve always wanted to add a Hamilton Ventura to my collection. It’s not for everyone I know but it would fill that “unique” hole in my collection well.
Great review Randy. By far, my favorite watch you’ve reviewed The Hamilton Watch Company has a tremendous pedigree of over 100 years, originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They were famous for very high grade railroad watches. This watch emulates the pilot watches from World War II. Enjoy the watch!
I have a Hamilton in my collection and love it very much. The Murph would fit in nicely. I really like the look!!! Great Review Randy!!! 👍👍👍
Didn't know chep audio man is also into watches. My day can't get any better! Hope for new videos on the watch channel. Good work :)
Just got a HELM Khuraburi last week. I absolutely love this Helm. Only had to wait 18 months to get it.
Randy, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you’ve started a watch channel! I’m big fan of the Audio channel but kind of maxed out on setting up my system. So what am I gonna spend my money on now??? Watches of course!
Beautiful ! And 42mm is perfect for my 8 inch wrist. Want one!
Nice review of the Hamilton Khaki Murph Watch. I have had a lot of Hamilton watches including a couple that went back to Lancaster, Pa. Love the brand, love the watch. Enjoy it, classic.
I'm saving up for the Cooper, can't wait to finally get it. Hope you keep making videos, just found your channel and noticed you haven't posted in 5 months. Good review!
I love this Watch too! I loved the movie!
I remember getting excited about this one a while back. That was until I saw the dimensions. If they did a 39 x 47 it would be a contender for me.

They just announced that
Love the Murph…was my first ‘proper’ watch…the band is amazing imho. Super comfortable and feels luxurious, less is more…Hamilton has great bang for the buck…from the movie Interstellar, the seconds hand was moving in Morse code and it spells …won’t give it away 🤣 …the women’s character name was of course Murph 😃 Hamilton watches are in a lot of movies. Men in Black, Tenet, Indiana Jones…As early as the 30’s, the 40’s, Elvis Presley movies, Robin Williams, Dead Poets, Matt Damon The Martin and even Marvels, End Game! Hamilton has Uber historical significance, going back to 1892, and the Railroad ….then WWI&II.
I have a couple of Khakis & this is high on my list for the next one. Lovely watch, nice review.
Need more reviews, been a little bit since your last video, you are my fav YT channel
Lately Hamilton became my favourite brand and I bought two watches. This wasn't one of them, but will have to be in the future as it's an amazing watch! 🙌
My own grail watch! Checks almost all my boxes: High contrast, Arabic numerals, cathedral hands, no date complication, automatic, exhibition caseback, central second hand. Tracked down a used one in great shape for well shy of retail. My only demerit is the crystal, which is crazy reflective. Could really have used so inner AR coating. Excellent lume - not super bright but it lasts forever for me.

The main reason it was so cheap for me was that the previous owner had replaced the band and had not kept the original band. Saved about $400 for that alone, even though the band can be purchased new from Hamilton for abut $100. I replaced it with a non-Hamilton band that sits a bit thinner and takes a deployment clasp.
Glad to see a non-diver highlighted. That being said I find that the mechanical watches I wear since retirement / Covid has greatly changed from office setting dress to more utilitarian.
Merry Christmas. Hope all is well.
Congratulations on the watch
I own it in 38mm and it perfectly on my small wrist. I bought it because of the Interstellar movie, which is a movie that my wife and i both like ( and that's especially rare as me wife can't stand SF movie) so I had to get this watch in my collection. BUT, i share the same disease as you are : THE NO DATE DISEASE. and of Course that's when i wear the murph, that's that day - DAMN!! that i need to see the date, on my watch ! and of course, no date on the watch, I have to take my phone, scroll, being identified, scroll and then i get the date .... would have been so easy and quick if I had it on my watch... so i go home, put it in the watch box, and grab any watch that have date ... and make me promise won't buy a watch without a date anymore !
Dude I just watched the movie a few weeks ago and instantly put them on my wish list😉
I think they just released a 38mm version of this. Its the same case as the khaki field which was one of the first swiss mechanical watches i bought yrs ago.
Randy I can’t believe this lol. I think I was one of the first ones to join the CAM facebook group. (I left the group, sorry) i was part of the CSS bookshelf craze lmao. I was just looking at watch videos and who do I see? YOU lol. Great to see you brother, hope all is well. I’ll be binge watching instead of listening 😎
Not doing any more videos?
Sir please suggest me a beautiful affordable gold watch for party or special occasion only
Great size! Feminine hour hand.
In short: a perfect watch
Good review. Curious to see the 38mm in the flesh 👍
I dont love this watch.. But its nice! Too much "classic &.. Classy on a budget" for me. Appreciate the review as always. Fantastic! And your last review about the turtle-patterned bronze watch!? Made me change my mind about some stuff! Loved it🙂🇸🇪
Seiko 6105 is.great movie watch.
I like Hamilton watches.
- 1:48. Yes, that’s a draw back to Hamilton. Seems to have zero anti reflective on crystal across their product line. And they aren’t cheap.
Bought the Hamilton khaki pilot day date because of interstellar the same week Hamilton announced the Murph release. The Murph is a beautiful watch but not for me. I love the pilot day date. Great review sir.
Randy! No way…you do watch reviews too ! What watch does our man Jason Stoddard wear lol
Have the 42mm Murph and enjoy wearing it. It has only 2 flaws and they only fixed one flaw on the reissue 38 while introducing 2 new flaws (no Eureka and too thick). Absolutely NO reason for the 38 to be any thicker than the 42. The clunky lowbeat movement on both is a shame. Seriously considering swapping the movement to a smoother highbeat 2824 or SW200 movement. An $700+ watch should have a 28.8k bph movement.

Hamilton watches are way overhyped and extremely overpriced. Poorly designed, no ar coating, worst lume in the industry, inaccurate movements, and easily broken. At best $200-$300. Seriously, stop wasting money on this and save for better brands.
Is this channel still active?
The tie-in with the movie is meaningless to me, but regardless that is a handsome watch. I appreciate the understated character of it. Though understated, I think it has plenty of character. I'm surprised at the amount of reflection considering the cost; but that wouldn't keep me from buying one. Thanks for covering a nice field watch!
love at first sight but it's too big for my wrist.
hamilton doesn't use any AR coating on their field watches. that and no screw down crown are the only downsides to the watches. love my khaki king.
Oh man.. just weeks before the 38mm came out. Ouch.
I guess the shine wore off. Lol
Fantastic watch my friend! You obviously have manly wrists to pull this one off!!! Me??? No;(
They just came out with a 38mm version

Cheap watchman sir!!!!! Not Cheap Audioman sir on this channel!!!! What’s the name of the grey market site?
Cheap movie watch. Casio Arnie Amw-320r Kindergarten cop
Cheap Watch Man!!!
This is one of the uglier, hodge podge hamilton watches. Supposed to be a field watch but they made it a dress watch. And the crystal has no ar coating. Total garbage
It is pronounced Air ahh bic It is not a hard A ,It is AHH!!
