Elvis’ voice is not of this world. He can sing anything and sound Angelic. I listen to Elvis everyday. His voice is so soothing and calming. It is literally medicine for the Soul. ❤
Wonderful song ❤
I am not religious at all.....but the way Elvis sings still makes me tear up.
Elvis’ GOSPEL is what he does Best! I’m a rock/metal head - but Elvis’ gospel is my favorite ahead of all that! Please react to Elvis doing “Bosom of Abraham”
Elvis, the swagger, the voice, theheart, that is why he is the King!
Elvis eas so versatile I don't know another artist than can sing any style of music like this man !rip elvis thank you for you beautiful music and thank you Ray for reacting to his music ! Love it 😊❤
Congratulations on getting to visit Graceland. Ignore the commercial aspects of some of the venues and immerse yourself in the displays that connect you to him. Graceland mansion of course is a must and viewing the Meditation Gardens is a very emotional experience. In the quiet I do believe you can feel his spirit. Enjoy your time there, it'll be very worthwhile and wonderful. I'm not an organized religious person but I enjoy Elvis's gospel music.
Elvis can sing any thing sounds awesome 💖💖💖 Elvis Presley is a legend and beyond Thank you supporting Elvis Presley always Be the king 💖💖💖💖💖
Check out the next track on this album “Without Him” This song describes my life.
Congratulations on heading to Graceland. It will be amazing. Look out for his spirit when you are walking on the path to his office. This is where I felt it. It was truly a time I will always remember.
Elvis' gospel voice is angelic. RIP Elvis, the KING!! We miss you ❤

I believe Elvis had a ministry and he gave his message thru his gospel music. I like to think he help led many souls to Christ that way.
Many believe that was his true calling. God used him to bring gospel music to mainstream. No Rock star in history had a gospel song in the middle of every performance. In the middle of his 1972 performance in Hampton Roads, VA performance he sang How Great Thou Art. I was 3 rows back and he absolutely took everyone in the spirit and then the Stamps Quartet sang "Sweet sweet Spirit" and we all were crying. You get it, you see how he could move an audience. Thanks for reacting to this song. Be Blessed.

Wow awesome to see Elvis in person! 😍👑❤️
I think Elvis' gospel songs hit so deep because, as Myrna Smith said, he felt he had a connection with God. His sincerity stands out in stark contrast to those who sing gospel because it's career smart for them to do so. Elvis was a sinner, as are we all, but his faith was so strong, and so out there, and so bone-deep, that I have no doubt he's in Heaven, and I hope to meet him there someday. If for no other reason than to thank him for the joy he has given me and others. Ray, I know you have my request for "I'm Leavin'" in your queue, can't wait for you to hear it.- KP

I recently went back to church and am loving it. Living with gratitude and faith every day. Last sunday I met a young girl there named Presley. I said, "Your mama knows" 😂
94k....See my recommendations helped😉 Love you reactions on the one and only🎇💎💯
This is from his How great Thou Art album which I bought in the early seventies.
That was his favorite too
Miss the Elvis cut-out
Simply stunning ❤️⚡💯
We’ve got the Elvis exhibition in London, many outfits, including his gold belt. They are charging £125 for ticket price to hold Elvis’ gold belt and other items. I don’t know if you’ll have it all back in the states by March.

The archives at Graceland are immense. They can’t display it all and rotate the displays regularly to show Elvis’s possessions. We held Elvis’s black boots, a ring and a microphone when we went. What ever is there , it makes you feel close to Elvis, knowing he wore or held something that you are now touching. Such a memorable experience. Ray will love it. 👌🕺💕
Awwww Ray🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 You are going to Graceland ❤❤❤❤ I will be there in spirit with all of you😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
very, very beautiful!!
I am going in March, too!
When Elvis sings gospel you feel he has the master key to the heart of the universe. And here you understand that music and love create a huge force that reaches all the organs and up to the soul. That's why artists like Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Sinatra and more will accompany us for many more generations

Katy was one of the pioneers, the generation after her has already brought so many - Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Connie Francis and more... It's not that there aren't amazing singers these days. But in those years they sang not for the money or fame, but for the soul@@margarettaylor8107
Just beautiful, love his gospel. I visited Graceland last Nov. It was awesome. I cant wait to go back again
Congratulations on going to Graceland in March. Even Paul Simon was inspired by visiting the grave of Elvis and created an album called Graceland. My daughter and granddaughters visited Graceland last August before going back to school and said it takes two days to see it. This song is so heartfelt and beautiful ❤
Elvis is the king and that's a fact
CONGRATULATIONS RAY ON 94K 🎉🎊🎇🎆🎉🎊🎇🎆🎉🎊🎇🎆🎉🎊🎇🎆🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🙌💃🔥🔥🔥🔥 THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONGS ELVIS EVER RECORDED 💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏💖🙏💕💕💕💕 It was first recorded by Madame Magdalene Tartt Lawrence on Paramount record label in 1924. She was an African- American Gospel, Folk, and Country singer (but as was noted most of her songs were done in a European composition style). "Stand By Me" was written by Charles Albert Tindley, an African- American minister and Gospel music composer. Very interesting person actually. So instead of leaving info on Elvis, I've decided to do a songwriter bio info (courtesy of Wiki): Charles Albert Tindley (July 7, 1851 - July 26, 1933) was an American Methodist minister and gospel music composer. His composition "I'll Overcome Someday" is credited as the basis for the U.S. Civil Rights anthem "We Shall Overcome". Another of his hymns is "Take Your Burden to the Lord and Leave It There" (1916), as well as "What Are They Doing in Heaven?" (1901). Often referred to as "The Prince of Preachers", he educated himself, became a minister and founded one of the largest Methodist congregations serving the African-American community on the East Coast of the United States. Although Tindley was a free man prior to the American Civil War, he had a deep and intimate understanding of the system of slavery in the United States because his father was an enslaved man and because he, himself, had grown up around other enslaved people. Tindley's status was based on antebellum slavery codes which determined that he was a free man because his mother was a free woman. After the Civil War, he moved to Philadelphia, where he found employment as a hod carrier (brick carrier). He and his wife Daisy attended the Bainbridge St. Methodist Episcopal Church. Charles later became the sexton, a job with no salary. Never able to attend school, Tindley learned to read by sitting by fire light and sounding out letters and eventually words from pieces of paper with writing that he found. He mastered reading so well that later he enlisted the help of a Philadelphia synagogue on North Broad St. to learn Hebrew. He later learned Greek by taking a correspondence course through the Boston Theological School. Without any degree, Tindley was qualified for ordination in the Methodist Episcopal Church by examination, with high ranking scores. He was ordained as a Deacon in the Delaware Conference in 1887 and as an elder in 1889. As was the practice of the ME church, Tindley was assigned by his bishop to serve as an itinerant pastor staying a relatively short time at each charge: 1885 to Cape May, New Jersey; 1887 to South Wilmington, Delaware; 1889 to Odessa, Delaware; 1891 to Pocomoke, Maryland; 1894 to Fairmount, Maryland; and 1897 to Wilmington, Delaware, at Ezion Methodist Church. In 1900 he became the Presiding Elder of the Wilmington District. Tindley then became the pastor of the same church at which he had been a janitor. Under his leadership, the church grew rapidly from the 130 members it had when he arrived. In 1906 the congregation moved from Bainbridge Street to Broad and Fitzwater Streets, and was renamed East Calvary Methodist Episcopal Church. The property was purchased from the Westminster Presbyterian church and seated 900, though it was soon filled to overflowing. The congregation over time grew to a multiracial congregation of 10,000. After his death, the church was renamed "Tindley Temple". The Tindley Temple United Methodist Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011. Tindley was acquainted with politicians and business leaders in Philadelphia, including John Wanamaker. He worked with business leaders to assist his members in finding jobs. He also encouraged members to start their own businesses and purchase homes. The church formed the East Calvary Building and Loan Association to offer mortgages. Tindley also solicited donations from businessmen of food for the congregation's ministry of feeding the needy. Tindley objected to social events that he considered degrading, including the 1912 Cake Walk and Ball, and The Soap Box Minstrels show at the Academy of Music on Broad and Locust Streets. In 1915, Tindley and other leaders, including Rev. Wesley Graham, led protesters in a march to the Forrest Theater to protest against the showing of D. W. Griffith's film The Birth of a Nation. They were attacked by whites with clubs, sticks, and bottles. Graham was hospitalized; Tindley's injuries were treated at home. Tindley was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree by Bennett College and Morgan College in Baltimore, Maryland. Tindley was a noted songwriter and composer of gospel hymns and is recognized as one of the founding fathers of American gospel music. Five of his hymns appear in the 1989 United Methodist Hymnal. His composition "I'll Overcome Someday" is credited by observers to be the basis for the U.S. Civil Rights anthem "We Shall Overcome." Another of his notable hymns is "(Take Your Burden to the Lord and) Leave It There" (1916), which has been included in several hymnals and has been recorded by numerous artists in a variety of styles. Others are "Stand by Me" (1905) and "What Are They Doing in Heaven?" (1901). Tindley published his songs beginning in 1901, and published several hymn collections, including Soul Echoes in 1905 (enlarged edition "No. 2", 1909) and a series beginning with New Songs Of Paradise! in 1916. A posthumous New Songs of Paradise, No. 6 in 1941 was the first collection to bring together all 46 of Tindley's published hymns, though in some cases stanzas that had previously been published were left out. Beams of Heaven: Hymns of Charles Albert Tindley (1851-1933) (2006) restores the full original complement of verses. He died on July 26, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is interred at Eden Cemetery in Collingdale, Pennsylvania. And that is it Ray & everyone! I hope no one minds that I shared the above. I just love history & learning! (Yep. I'm a nerd.) Don't think of the week ahead. Just take each day as it comes 😊 TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕
Amen
Thanks for sharing this video today 🙏🏻🙏🏻I needed that song today 👏
Ray you will love Graceland and all its exhibits. And getting to sign the wall! I hope you will have time to visit Sun Studios too. I love Memphis. So much to do
and the only grammy Elvis received was for this album's title song (as if Elvis needs Grammy recognition - he's way above them!) it's not inherently part of my culture/upbringing but i had been listening to Elvis gospel, Mahalia Jackson, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, more, my whole life. because my family liked it: true faith is such a beautiful thing to witness.
