on my POV she was on the brink of suicide, and needed self reasurence, then, half way there, she found that one thing we all look for all of our lives, meaning to life. so, she does this for others, so that they never go off thinking they suck, and nobody will ever miss them if they suddenly stop existing. this sorta relates to first season, where the guy talks about "whats life", whats love and stuff. in the end, thi series sorta listens to those of us that have extreme mental issues that need attention, and in a way, it makes us feel better about ourselves. :T maybe, we dont suck

It seems like a lot of people in the comments took the video literally, what I got from it is that moving into the apartment represents suicide and the roommate is the part of their brains trying to convince themselves why they should do it. But once they start trying to justify it they realize maybe it isn't what they want after all.

Jove Joved that has less to do with being a hipster and more about really just life in general. They go into areas that are uncomfortable to talk about and help make sense of it. It’s about relating to these characters and finding areas that you relate and realize that you are more than what you say you are and should give yourself credit sometimes. It’s a shame that you only look on the surface of things and not go any deeper, to look past what you see at first and realize that these people are human beings just like you or me. That is what the point of this series is trying to do.

Okay, so I found 5 theories regarding what happened in this episode: 1) She's honestly just renting her apartment out and has this weird quirk that she wants to rent it to someone super lonely 2) Her goal is to help people by making them realize that if they're capable of love (loving someone or something) all is not over and they can still live happy lives 3) She's looking for answers herself, since she IS that lonely, she thinks she IS incapable of love and wants a way out (maybe a reason or a motivation to live on and try again). 4) she wants to find someone (a friend) like her - an ideal match, who is lonely in the exact same way she is, someone who will relate to her completely. 5) The apartment is a metaphor. While scrolling through comments, I saw one that said that this apartment could be a metaphor for Janis herself and for Suicide even...

It sucks that people always assume you're unhappy and broken just because you're singel (and always have been) or that you're not capable of loving someone. I love my family, especially my mum and my older brother, I loved all the pets we ever had and my two cats just as much as my brothers, I love my best friend like the sister I never had. I even loved romantically, but I'm just not into the very concept of relationships. They're not my thing, they're time consuming and stressful and they feed on the little bit of personal freedom and independence you have left after working your ass off for your future every day. If a potential partner feels more like a burden then a companion then you shouldn't date them and if any partner you could possibly imagine feels like that to you, you should stay single because that's what's going to make you more happy eventually. I want that apartment.

I don't think so. I don't think anyone is trying to be someone they're not. They all genuinely believe they're the loneliest person on Earth. But when challenged they prove they are still capable of love. In fact they all already have something or some part of themselves that they do love. I think the main girl trying to find the strength to love herself by listening to other lonely people talk about how they still love themselves. It's a therapy session where she uses other people to find the inspiration to never give up.

I’m sure the people behind this series have already seen countless comments of how people relate to their characters, of how many, if not all the episodes they have seen have moved them, or of how they have cried real, powerful, and/or even healing tears just from getting to the credits. Truth be told, I only just started watching this show, out of order, as I see the episodes suggested to me on the KZread home page. And, yeah, I could go on and on about some horrible past I had to endure and/or the baggage it has me carry every day; however, no matter how bad you think your life was, or is currently, life is not a competition of how great or how horrific it is on this overpopulated planet we all live on. No matter your stance on the latter sentence, all of us face insecurities that has brought us emotional pain; former, or current. This series, but more specifically, this episode, really highlights those insecurities and how they effect all of us, consciously or not. So, to finish up the thoughts I had in the beginning of this comment, this comment, that I am currently writing, without all the extra bullshit, is one of those comments the people over at Cracked have already seen a number of times. So yeah, I have baggage, past and present. And yeah, I can really relate to this, and most of the episodes I have seen from this show. And finally, yeah, like many of the People Watching episodes I have seen, I ended them sobbing, in tears, ready for another, and glad I learned something more about myself.

i know right. Just pick someone and go for it. Throw yourself all in. DOn't "keep it casual" I saw a guy 8 years ago who i thought was so cute and sweet. He was beyond shy and wouldn't even talk to me. But i didnt just walk away, I stood there chatting just trying to get him to speak to me. It was weird and fun. Eventually he got so overwhelmed with just being talked to (i mean shit how anti social can you be) and he literally ran away. like just started running. So i chased him. we were in high school on a trip to a college campus and he was running for the busses. I caught him in front of the bus (he let me catch him because believe me he's fast as fuck and im slow as hell lol) I hugged him to the ground and kissed him. He still wouldn't talk to me but he was smiling. He asked his friends to ask me out. It was sweet. That relationship lasted about 3 months til he broke up with me because he wanted to experience more of life with other guys. which i was hurt at the time but being older i understand, not everyone wants to settle down at 16. Anyway 2 years later we reconnected. Tried to be friends. But we eventually came back together. I chased him hard. I still chase him when he runs. I made a decision to love this dude for the rest of my life and no matter what he does or how fast or how far he runs ima be there. We've been together for 6 years. we live together, we work together. are we soul mates? fuck no. Are we happy? HELL YES.

•The Clock always says "2:09" •It's like the applicants were her depression thoughts at (assuming) 2am - more common than Day-Shift Depression. • In a previous video ('Hope In Every Box') she says she writes down The Good when things are bad because it help with her depression. [Paraphrasing] This also coensides with the episode 'Why Dating People with Depression is so Bleeping Hard'; and getting other people to over share as a negative trait or behavior (as she may've perceived imo based on that episode). The difference is, the applicants combat these self-given statements for an apartment, whereas she feels unable to combat her own and seeing the inspiration and value in *them* as the value within *herself*. Kinda like a pick-me-up by proxy... "Maybe I *don't* SUCK" • I like how the Tapestry directly reflect the musician's hypocritical character arch. In a nutshell, you can only see/ hear her through her music but once the music dies, she 'dies' on the inside and completely shuts down and wont communicate... Yet she talk about some two-way street shit knowing full damn well that she makes it a point to avoid any conversational contact in other episodes 'Why your favorite musician doesnt want to meet you' and the Self Help group episode. How *CAN* you love someone who can't even open up about who / what/ how they are beyond a chord and a hook? How can one dwell in the security of solitude and expect a the other person to have a genuine interest and benefit without ANY real communication or connection? It reeks of Narcissistic Personality Disorder dressed in some anti social / social phobia hype. She wants someone to truly love her but she can only return love through music and not a real connection if that help explain things. 🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔🥔

I really love Jeremy and I think it would be great to see more of him. Thank you guys for making this series. Comedy is about making light of the relatably tough issues, even if it doesn't mean laughter.
