I personally don't care for Christian pop that much (it can get a little cheesy and this coming from a fellow believer). My favorites are Beautiful Eulogy, Out of Eden, Mary Mary, Proganda etc. :)

Making a mistake and asking God for forgiveness is one thing but to have your wife and child involved in singing this song takes it to another level, a sociopathic level because Austin acts like it didn't even bother him at all and he felt no shame or guilt. He totally has a psychological dissociation problem.

Kelsey Elise There are some songs that were played in my household that I didn't learn what he was singing about until I was well past college! There's the one R&B song called, As we lay, that I sang with fever and passion every time it was on. I loved the song. How about I only found out what the song was about a couple of years ago? Had not heard the song since I was young, totally shocked that it was about adultery and no one said anything. These days, the songs are so blatant and even empty, you really do have to vet what kids hear (and even watch).

I put radio Disney on my daughters (11) tablet and honestly radio Disney is a bit questionable too. They play "Love me like you do" along with ?? Jonahs new music and he has gone "sexy" my daughter really wanted new music because we only listened to contemporary christian music [for the simple fact that I didn't have to worry if the next song would be talking about sexing someone down] and they don't make songs as often as others artist so she was tired of hearing the same things. So I gave radio Disney a try hoping they would edit lyrics but they don't and honestly I'm contemplating deleting the app but I would like to replace it with something more suitable any suggestions?

Aubrey M Sad. Maybe the next step would be to actually sit down and make a Playlist on the subscription radios for them. Think of about 30 songs to start off with and just add to it as you think/hear more. I haven't sat down to actually listen to the iheart radio station for kids but it seems like they only play songs that are on tv shows or kids movies. Don't know if they adaptations of pop songs on that channel.

My 3 year old son started singing the "Gotta stay high, all the time, to keep you off my mind" and I was like *Screeeeeeeeeech* UH UH! STOP! NOOOOOOOOPE! So we changed the lyrics to "I gotta fly high, all the time, like el chupacabra" but, that still doesn't help the fact that he started singing that lol. We mostly listen to christian rap; for example: Lacrae, Andy Mineo, Tedashii, Trip Lee etc. But, the christian rap station tends to play the same songs A LOT, so, from time to time, I'll turn on the pop station and we'll jam out. Just as long as it's not a song with a terribly negative message.

i remember listing to songs and having no clue what they were about and now i hear them and i am like "This is what this song is about..."

Some of the Mannequins at Old Navy have heads (Mostly just the ones in the very front.) But they're creepy AF when you walk around a corner in the back room.

I know what you mean. My oldest daughter used to listen to Eminem. My little one was about 18 months and would say 3 or 4 words in a sentence. We were at the supermarket trying to find a park. Ari was singing away. Nita (my toddler) came out with "Mum, sit down on that runway ho". I was so shocked, suffice to say we got cd changes pretty quick

Audri always makes me smile. It doesn't matter how bad my day seems, when I see that little face I feel better. She has to be the cutest little girl on you tube. Thanks for sharing her with us.

You guys are totally right about how Christian music can be really cheesy or just sound the same, but I find that there are some really good artists out there, you just have to look for them ;) I listen to a lot of Christian music and I think you guys may like Hillsong Young and Free, Britt Nicole, For King & Country, Royal Tailor, Mandisa, or Toby Mac they're all pretty upbeat and have great lyrics.

Totally agree with you on finding other alternatives.....I don't have children yet but i have nieces and nephews....and I can recall an incident when my whole family went shopping and the song " my milk shake brings all the boys to the yard....." by kelis was playing....and for a while a little 2 year old's voice was singing background to the song....we didn't notice it at first because her voice was so faint.....but we were all in shock...and all that my sister could do was tell her not to repeat those words......and so it starts when they are very young, and you have to try to steer them in another direction.

brittsbreakdown When my brother was a baby I listened to contemporary christian, he that's the type of music he likes because that's what he heard as a baby. He likes some of the Disney artist, but he still likes christian type music.
