It was around since the beginning but parents (karens) complained about it and the network cut it off around season 2 which is a shame because it got incredibly popular and an arabic fandom was formed to celebrate it. The lyrics are a lot more romantic than the English version. as far as i know there is no official translation to the title of the song. the lyrics of the song in arabic is veryyyy different than it is in english. i think you should put a direct translation of "love like you" a direct translation of "love like you" into arabic is أن أُحِبَ مِثلك

The lyrics have a completely different meaning in this adaptation. It obviously doesn't have an official name for the adaptation, but the final part of the lyrics goes like: "Maybe it's happiness and that's what life is like"; If I had to put a name to this song, it would go by "هكذا تكون الحياة" / "That's how life is", if I'm correct. You could also use the first adaptation done in the Season 1, they translated Jail Break's version of LLY and it had this adaptation: "الحنان مثلك أنت" / "(I learn) affection/tenderness like you". This one has a similar meaning to the original.

I was thinking of reconstructing the full non-reprise Love Like You using this audio and the Jailbreak segment, it's just about enough to make a good edit. So I'll probably go with that last version, thanks.

Yeah it looks like a cheap dub. They even used the same singer for most of the show's songs. It seems that Netflix just wanted it to be dubbed

@@zaink7221 i think some songs are hit and miss. I could never be ready sounded awful but “what’s the use of feeling blue” and “that distant shore” sounded gorgeous. It’s a cheap dub for sure but it’s better than nothing which is what we had for almost a decade.

@@tuney7319 Arabic dub is never cheap. Especially when it comes to Steven Universe. We work meticulously on every single detail in adaptation, baring in mind that ADAPTING and LOCALISING is NOT TRANSLATING. Sometimes the outcome is very good, sometimes it's less good and sometimes it's fair... but it's never cheap❤🙏🏽 Thank you for taking the time to comment and compare. Always rewarding...❤
