I don't know you, but I'm guessing that the reason you never married has nothing to do with your looks, and more likely that you stayed in the background because you lacked confidence and self esteem. Just a guess, but you need to love yourself darling! Everyone is worthy and deserving of finding happiness, but start with yourself. It's never too late, or perhaps you will decide that you can be happy just having fun and being single. Wishing you the best! 😊

Not many people can hit that note in Independence Day. I’ve always loved Martina McBride and I’ve always loved Pat Benatar so it was a great video to watch.

I turn 49 in about 2 weeks. The line in the song that says every laugh line on your face got you to where you are today....I couldn't help but tear up. I remember when I started getting white hair at my temples in my late 30's and trying to figure out if I could just cut those hairs or dye them. Then my mom stopped me from doing anything about them, telling me I should be proud of all the white hair I get because it means I've made it through some tough times and still here, that not everyone gets the gift of white hair and wrinkles. In April it'll be 10 years since she died of breast cancer. She never got to see me turn 40. She won't get to see her first grandchild graduate from high school in June right around her birthday. But she always encouraged me to be myself, white hair and all, and those are lessons I've passed on to my son, to be proud of who you are and where you've been, and to know life is always a journey, never a destination.

If you’re looking for more Martina, “A Broken Wing” and “God’s Will” are a must. 😉

God's Will is so so so good.

I *knew* Amber would cry, because she is like so many of us relating to this song. It's such a great, positive song. Another lighthearted and very sweet song by Martina: My Baby Loves Me. I really think both of you would dig that song.

Martina’s songs have a message about supporting each other whether they are upbeat or sad…and her voice is one of the very best!

I look at Martina McBride as the Whitney Houston or Celine Dion of country music. Now, those two are in a league of their own but when it comes to pure power, control, clarity and just a damn gorgeous voice, Martina's got it all!! A couple of songs you really should check out are Independence Day and my all time favorite for showcasing her power, volume and ability to hold a high note for so dang long, Broken Wing!

Im glad im not the only one who gets choked up listening to this song. Its such a happy one compared to her other songs, but it gets me every time.

Whatever You Say showcases her vocals 1000%. As someone who has seen her in concert 5 times, that song was the best reaction. She got a ovation halfway through the song! She tore it up! But "Anways" was the first song she wrote. Not only did she write she produced it too so that one is my suggestion. It also really showcases her voice.

Thank you for finally getting to this one. Martina has an excellent voice and clarity. One thing with Martina is that she does not shy away from emotion. Sometimes its heavy. Sometimes uplifting and fun, but always full of heart. There are several good recommendations in the comments here for more Martina. Please play this one for your daughters. Play it again and again. Sing, dance, smile and love every moment moment together as you listen to this song. After all, this ones for the girls!!

Thanks for doing an upbeat Martina song! Lots of reactors do all her tearjerkers and miss her happy stuff. Martina doesn't do frivolous songs just to get a record out. All her songs have impact.

Martina McBride can really bring the pipes. Perfect tone and pitch every time. I have seen her live a couple of times. Once during a Fair early in her carrier and once just about 5 years ago. Absolutely amazing each time.

So happy you got back to Martina. She has so many great songs. Gods Will, I'm Blessed, and Teenage Daughters are three great songs.

I was fortunate enough to see Martina in concert about twenty years ago, and let me tell you, her voice was phenomenal. No idea such power could come from someone so itty bitty. One of the best concerts I’ve been to. I was emotionally drained afterwards. Sad tears, happy tears, I experienced it all 😂

She's a mom of three girls, isn't that them in the video and possibly on backing vocals?. Im not 100 percent sure here but I know they've been participants of some of her other stuff and at least one of her daughters sings also now. I remember when this song and video came out and I felt like she was singing about me then lol like 20 + years later (it's been somewhere close to that time period by now) I still feel like this song is for me and I still relate to it so much. No matter what age you are or phase in life you're in or going through, YOU ARE ALWAYS UNIQUE AND SPECIAL AND STRONG ENOUGH to get through anything! I've loved Martina McBrides voice and songs ever since I was introduced when she came out with the song CHEAP WHISKEY. She has a crazy voice range and beautiful voice So many songs in her catalogue, both light hearted and also songs relating to real life, deep subject matter as you already know from CONCRETE ANGEL. Other songs of hers that are must listens (off the top of my mind) are: INDEPENDENCE DAY, WHATEVER YOU SAY, (WITH A) BROKEN WING, CHEAP WHISKEY, (MY BABY LOVES ME) JUST THE WAY THAT I AM and so many others that I'm failing to remember or mention.
