She talks about chicken safety with washing hands and bleaching the board, but as long as she's putting chicken fingers in the salt bin and dragging her bracelets through the raw chicken and using her hands to mix it with those fancy rings on, she's contaminating everything, including that raw salad. Bobby tried to get her to use a spoon! Did you notice he grabbed his cookbook out of the way when she started pounding that chicken without covering it with plastic film? He knew she was slinging raw chicken juice everywhere.

Yes I like Paula too , but I don’t like seeing her with her hair flopping around and her mixing things with her rings on. When I mix stuff like a meat loaf I use plastic gloves. I saw Bobby pick a hair off her shoulders.One time I saw her taste something and put the spoon right back into her food which didn’t look good on T.V. Watch it Paula.

Love watching Paula and her Southern traditional recipes, but equally Bobby does a fine job presenting on his own, as proved last year. He's definitely into the more healthy European and Asian cooking which is great to see. Her interruptions were irritating, and I think I prefer them cooking separately rather than together.

Yeah. I'd never eat the food she prepares. Anyone eating her food would be eating a lot of her saliva as she's always licking her fingers and then touching the food or reintroducing a tasting spoon back into the dish. Not to mention scratching her head over the food now and then. Pounding the chicken between plastic wrap would be useful as well.

Cutting the chicken into cubes (AS BOBBY SUGGESTED) would have looked more appetizing.

I love the dynamic between you two. Never change ♥️. Honestly, if I wanted a structured video, I would watch 1 of the 1000s of boring copycat cooking shows on tv. You are perfect as you are!

I do like his recipes as we get older we have to eat better for sure, I am cutting way back on sugar myself and turning to the way he thinks.... but butter never hurt anybody...lol I think it is good for you. I gotta be honest, I love Paula so much and I love her shows but when she is constantly cutting Bobby off it just seriously frustrates me and I have to stop watching lol. It seems like with her, it’s either her way or no way at all.

I like this recipe Bobby so good and healthy , the Meyer lemon so pretty.

To sanitize your block spray with hydrogen peroxide. The spray is available at most grocery pharmacies and it’s in a brown spray bottle. . After it’s empty just refill the brown spray bottle. Use it for all blocks and counters to sanitize. (I don’t use bleach on my wood blocks).

Is Paula going senile? Rambling, constant interrupting... insists on cutting the chicken into thick strips instead of cubes... then at the end suggests cutting the chicken into cubes instead of strips to make it go further. Time for Bobby to get his own show.

Oh, peanut butter is so good on this. I don't like snow peas though. Plus, I'm diabetic so would go with sugar free peanut butter and brown sugar replacement. Perfect. I'd just eat the chicken with some broccoli.

Reason I ask is that I followed the link to the official recipe from the cookbook and there is no mention of “lemon” juice ? So which one do I use ??? In this video Bobby says lime juice when making the peanut mixture but when Paula asks him, he said it’s lemon juice

Paula why do you insist on using your bare hands to mix raw chicken instead of using utensils?? You sliced up the chicken breast and then without washing your hands you reached into your salt dish to grade salt for the chicken. Your habits are so dangerous. You just contaminated all the salt.☹☹☹☹

@Maggie 2 Sticks, I was thinking about using very thinly sliced or shredded purple cabbage and some of those different colored little cherry tomatoes along with the snow peas, instead of the salad greens Paula used, which would introduce some other pretty colors. I would also make a lot more of the dressing to dress the salad with if I were to use extra ingredients that Bobby's original recipe didn't call for, as well, because that little bit of dressing he made just for his original snow pea salad recipe would not be nearly enough for a larger salad with additional ingredients. I love snow peas and sugar snap peas though so I'm sure I'd love just the original snow pea salad on its own without any extra added ingredients too. Either way this entire meal looks and sounds delicious and I can't wait to try it.

The interruptions are a little annoying, but that being said, I thought of a way that myself and other people might enjoy this. I like to use lettuce cups (like in place of taco shells, or tortillas) and I think you could put all of these ingredients into a lettuce cup and roll it up like a green burrito. I'm going to try it! Thanks for the great recipe as I love Thai style food. Trying to implement more chiles and spice into my food rather than salt.

When I started watching Food Network, my husband happened to see one of Paula’s shows. He commented that she wasn’t cooking anything that I hadn’t cooked. He was correct. I have been cooking “her recipes” for 60-years. I watched her for several years but her cackle got too much for me. Don’t hate me-that’s just me. She has come a long way since the first time I saw her on TV. There used to be a show where a cook would go into a random kitchen, and from their pantry cook a meal. On that show she had not been introduced to makeup, hairstyles, fancy jewelry, etc.
