Growing up, my mama made each of us kids our favorite cake for our birthday. Mine was strawberry. This is just how my mama used to make it, but the frosting had more strawberries and Jell-O in it too. That stuff was so sweet it'd put you into a diabetic coma, but as a kid it didn't bother me at all. One year she made a kitty cat strawberry cake for me in the perfect shape of a kitty but it had white frosting. I loved the cat but on the inside I was kind of sad because I was looking forward to that sweet strawberry frosting. Well my sweet mama, unbeknownst to me, had made a second cake that she hid and it had my favorite strawberry frosting. So that year I got two cakes! Thank you sweet mama. I miss and love you. 💕🌺

OMG, this looks amazing. I am going to have to make this. I live in North Carolina and we have a wonderful STRAWBERRY Farm that is in York, SC and they grow winter strawberries. They say they are better than the spring ones because they dont have the risk of freezing. They sent me a email that they still had winter strawberries. I think I am going to have to drive down there and get some fresh strawberries. This has my mouth watering. I love strawberries. Thank you for sharing this amazing cake recipe. Yummy yummy. Miss Paula Strawberry cake is one of our favorite cakes also. My wife has made Strawberry Cupcakes with strawberry jelly in the middle. Miss Paula you’re supposed to remove the beaters then lick them so you don’t wast any goodie🙂🙂

I made it and it fell in the middle 😢 I’m in Colorado. Do you have a high altitude adjustment? Maybe that was the issue? It was still good but a little dense because it was so compacted! LOL. Love you and your family and friends❤️

I actually used unflavored Greek yogurt. It worked well, and I avoided having any leftover buttermilk.

I made the cake and my frosting was too soft and didn’t set up as cream cheese frosting usually does. It tasted good.

Id eat it :) since it wont taste like cake itll taste like strawberries all the way through :)

That woman looks like she doesnt want to be there, she seems confused, not cheerful at all! 🤔 Seems she might be too good to be using that hand mixer. Rather dull. The cake, on the other hand, looks sweet and AMAZING! 😍

Heidi I meant she probably does not like to to be filmed...meaning she does not like to be on camera. Sure enough she was missing for most of the steak grilling episode. And she sat at the counter for the mounds brownie video. She only tasted brownie on camera because Paula called her to taste.

I'm going to comment EVERY TIME....what in the world do you think it's ok to do all that licking of your fingers and then keep using the same knife that you put your saliva on. That's disgusting. Not to mention the nose wiping and you don't even wash your hands. I cook everyday and I don't even do that.🤢

Amen! She refuses to eat with manners. When she picked up the green bean bundles in other recent video with her fingers I was stunned. Who picks up green beans off a plate with their fingers ON CAMERA. Not to mention on this video and the steak grilling video with Sandy Paula said they would share stories about Bubba. No not one story of Bubba in either one of them. One comment Sandy went to make in general and Paula talked right over her as usual. And Paula YOU told us the marriage did not last. Sandy is not mentioned in Bubba's obituary. So Sandy is not her sister in law.
