I've always enjoyed this casserole, but haven't had it in many years. I really like this version of the recipe and will try this! That being said, mac n cheese might be my favorite casserole, but the one I make ( Indulgent Mac n Cheese from Sarah Moulton ) is soo yummy lol.😍
The coating on pre-shredded cheese is potato starch. It is used not as a preservative, but as an agent to keep the cheese from clumping so it stays "shredded". It also prevents the cheese from a "true" melt, not a good gooey melt.
Rice casserole looks wonderful. I do have a question for you Paula. Where do you find all the pretty tops that you wear? I love them.
You can slather your whole roasting chicken in mayonnaise, sprinkle with any seasoning you like and roast in the oven as usual. It makes for really moist chicken, and the drippings make a great sauce base.

A Teacher asked her students to bring an item to school that represented their particular religion. The Catholic boy brought in a crucifix...the Jewish girl brought in a minora...Little Johnny, a Baptist, brought in a casserole dish.

It is! I haven't tried this particular one, but I sure will!!🤤
I’m sitting here watching this and drinking coffee out of my Paula Deen mug I got at your Gatlinburg store! I have a collection of them; friends and family that have visited your stores over the years always bring me a mug back because they know I adore you! Our favorite casserole is called steak casserole and my sister in law gave me the recipe years ago, it’s made with a long grain/wild rice mix as well, but uses leftover steak, mushrooms, onions, cheese, cream of mushroom and cream of celery... it’s absolutely luscious!!

This is new for me
My Paula Deen Cookbook Bible is consistently a resource for me but I’ve never tried this recipe. Looks yummy so will give it a shot. Love you Paula & thanks for sharing your time & wonderful recipes with all of us❤️
I like all the ingredients in this casserole, and yes we are getting into the cooler weather for "real food"! God bless all.
I love this casserole I’ve made it for years! I’ll add some cream sherry, just about a Tablespoon and it’s just so good! You can use dry sherry too!👍❤️😋

Hello Miss Paula, Eddie and Theresa! I like all the components to this recipe except for the green beans. I think I'd swap them out for fresh, blanched broccoli. But that's just me! 👍❤

I’ve made this tons of times over the years and it’s very delicious.
Oh dear Paula…how I love your videos. I love to hear your laugh, it reminds me of my mother in laws. My family exists on casseroles. I still have all three of my grown kids here at home with me. We’re pretty big eaters so I am always looking for casserole dishes, cuz they go further than individual meat servings. This is a new one that I think my family will enjoy. Thank you for all the recipes and these videos have been a life saver. Dottie from CA. 🥰😜
I always grate my own cheese. My grandson works at a deli/meat market. He gives me the ends of the cheese blocks cheap if he has any when I go.
That is my favorite casserole I make it all the time
Paula recipe so wonderful!!! No one better than you!!! Love to ya’ll !!!
This looks delicious, thanks for sharing👍❤️
I always take the extra minute to grate/shred my block cheese. I hate the prepacked cheeses because they have "cellulose" added so it won't clump up in the package, but that makes it less likely to melt correctly. It also just tastes different. Always shred your own for best flavor and results!!
This looks so yummy. I'm going to try this.
I found a delicious #Thanksgivingturkey recipe courtesy Rachael Ray and it was coated with #mayo, orange zest and a variety of #fresh #herbs...🤤#mayonaise Edit: My mim and I made that #recipe years ago, but hopefully we can make it again lol.
I'm trying this recipe this weekend. 😋
This is my all time favorite Paula Deen recipe!
Where did you get the large spoon rest (cow?) on your counter? It's adorable.
Delicious recipe 😋😍❤️
This is my favorite casserole. I’ve been making it for years!
Mmmm....that is the perfect casserole to eat off of all week. Personally, I'd add finely crunched up potato chips on top for the extra crunch texture, although I love the idea of water chestnuts! Thanks Paula!
This Chicken & Rice Casserole recipe looks so delicious Paula.
This is awesome, I need this in my life 😋
We Love you! Paula Deen!!
Love your videos and also love the witch sitting in the background of this video. Can you tell me where you found that? Thank you!
I love your cheeky laugh Paula. And of course watching you cook! Your home is beautiful. So cozy.

I have a big blue bowl that I mix everything in. Especially casseroles and dressing.

Your home looks absolutely fabulous and so does this casserole

Looks Delicious. I'm always looking for a good Chicken cheesey recipe. I have to try this one. Thanks Paula😋🍁
Thanks for sharing your recipes Paula
Looks so good! Gonna try it!
I agree with you about frozen green beans. I like all of the other frozen vegetables, but when it comes to green beans, I prefer canned.
That looks yummy, I could just taste it! I wanted to reach through the screen and grab that bit you dropped from the casserole dish..😂. I made a casserole once that was called Chicken Almondine. It also had mayonnaise and silvered almonds with pimento. Angel hair pasta instead of rice. I’ve lost the recipe but it sure was good. Love your remodel and new decor!! Will you have a cookout outside anytime soon? That would be so much fun! Michael could help..😁. I so enjoy your videos Paula and your interactions with Eddie and Theresa. 🥰
I absolutely love your kitchen witch!
Casseroles are the best. I love all the flavors mixed in together.
That looks very good I think I will make it but it makes so much I will have to have size it. Thanks
Love this one, made it alot.
We make stock from the bones and skin of the rotisserie chicken...we also add celery, onion, salt, and pepper...makes great stock and you can buy a whole cooked chicken at SAMS for $4.99 whereas a whole chicken at the grocery store sells for nearly $8.
I agree about the cheese
Where can I find the kitchen witch on the hearth? Love the show Paula!

My husband can’t have almonds. Can you use another nut? Walnuts or pecans? We eat Rotel chicken a lot in fall and winter.

Grew up on tuna noodle casserole. No longer can eat tuna.
I will have to make that tomorrow, thank you beautiful lady😃

Homemade soup is pretty easy and causes casseroles to become gourmet delicious.
Sorry Paula, but I would leave out the water chestnuts. Otherwise, looks great.

I agree...can't do water chestnuts.
I think I would put this in a 13x9. That way, you can have more "crunchies" on top and serve like a lasagna. I don't care for nuts in my food.

Gonna get that cookbook soon. Can't wait!

Looks delicious. I agree with you about the green beans. Usually I prefer frozen vegetables over canned, but I definitely like canned green beans much more than frozen. Frozen green beans squeak! 😮😁😉

Love You Paula I look forward to your videos every day.❤️😊🙏🏻
I have watched you since day one!! Love your recipes 😋
YES! The home grated cheese is SO much better! You are right!
I agree with your opinion on frozen French beans. But one day I was in a pinch for time and I needed a green bean dish to take to our American Legion for a funeral luncheon and I had 2 large bags of French cut green beans. So I diced a large onion and a pound of bacon and sautéed that until until soft, added the green beans and tossed coking for about 15 min on medium heat , then added chicken stock to cover and SILLY SALT. Covered on low heat and simmered for 1 hr. It was delish and no frozen taste

What seasoning do you use over mayo? It was a mixture of about four seasonings over Mayo and chicken ?
Sure looks good.
