I have the first Loupedeck and whilst I used it for a few weeks in the end it gathered dust somewhere in my office, the new one looks pretty nice. Great video but the sound track could do with being turned down / off.

I own both the loupedeck and loupedeck+ and I love them so much. But whenever I edit in Photoshop, I am using a pen display tablet on my right hand and a tartarus v2 keypad for my shortcuts on my left hand. I am so used to that set-up that I don't even look up from the screen when I edit. I am trying to see myself using this but I am not sure if it will replace my pen display tablet and my tartarus. I don't like looking away from the screen to check in which mode I am in with the loupedeck ct. Same scenario with using LR, I am so used to the location of each knob in loupedeck+ that I don't even look down away from the screen. Don't get me wrong, this product will really help if I don't have my current set-up. It looks so cool to use. Maybe I will do more research and try to find out how this will be incorporated in my work flow. Maybe when I travel this will be good because instead of bringing my loupedeck+ and tartarus keypad, I just need to bring this with my laptop.

I wish the video matched the version of the software/presets that are currently shipping. To its credit, Loupedeck seems to have added more features and presets, but it is not clear "what" things are "where", or even what the various buttons do at any given time. Much of the time the icons are self-explanatory, but sometimes they just don't help at all. Things are made worse by the manuals. The font chosen for text may have looked great to a designer, but makes reading difficult. The language is difficult, almost tortured at times, as though it had been translated from Japanese to German before being converted once again to English. I believe the product could be a huge benefit to editors, but the learning curve is unnecessarily high because of out-of-date tutorials, and poorly written manuals. I suspect many will return the expensive product before they figure out how to make it work. How much effort would it have been to do a video like the one on this page with the current software, moving step by step through the screens?

Loupedeck CT can speed up your workflow, but this console is for editors who require extreme precision and unlimited customization. If you prefer to have all the basic tools right in front of you in buttons, dials, scrollers, and wheel than Loupedeck+ is your console.

I have only had the Loupdeck + for a few days and it speeds things up really well. Above all you can make many adjustments without having to hunt through tabs in the develop module. This is really powerful because setting in different tabs effect so many settings and it is just so quick to really fine tune a mix of setting.

This is perfect for someone like me who wants to turn different dials to see the changes rather than swiping the mouse back and fourth. I have the luxury of time and this will help me be more precise when editing since I am very anal about the little details. I can understand a creatives frustration when they do not find an extra tool to help their workflow. But I don't understand being negative about a product that doesn't work for you smh

As a user of the original Loupdeck controller, wow, this was amazingly........fiddely. How on earth am I supposed to remember at all times what I have put on either button 2, or Fn+2? The contextual screen is great, but why on earth would you not put 8 twisting knobs on it so you have a 1:1 relation with colour adjustment, instead of that swiping gesture. Its faster to just use your mouse in Lightroom than this. I am confused as to who this is for or what gap in the market this pluggs? Maybe its better when used in video software than Lightroom? I hope you will come with an update to the original Loupdeck with contextual button screens, and keep the 1:1 relations between buttons/Knobs and Lightroom functions. Thats why I use it. I am just very confused... Because I usually love gadgets and cool details like screens in buttons and wheels, but this was......a mess. Sorry Loupdeck.

@@Loupedeck I'm loving the CT so far. There does seem to be a delay sometimes in Lightroom... it isn't always so responsive. Hello Nate, This really depends on the demands of your personal workflow. If you typically edit large batches of photos and require basic access to tools for example, tone, crop, HLS and don't require extreme precision and than Loupedeck+ is for you. If your work is very precise or your work leans heavily on using Photoshop, then Loupedeck CT is for you as you can have quick access to many more tools and you can separate your workflow into different stages (e.g. Cleaning the image -> Retouching -> Creating paths for removing background). Hope this helps!
