After using a mouse and a standard keyboard for the past 15 years, I am not sure I would want to complicate my workflow even more with this. I will just stick to my keyboard shortcuts and save £469.00 thank you It looks cool though 👍

Something that I understand from your product is that it seems to be made for people that are not into shortcuts and that just want easy access to tools and options without using/learning shortcuts. It means that your focus needs to be on intuitivity and user-friendliness. It also means that your software neeeeds to be super intuitive and user-friendly as well! I'm not a shortcut user, so I love the idea of your product a lot, but I've seen many reviews that are making me wonder if the Loupedeck is gonna be reliable (not disconnecting) and natural to use enough. I certainly don't want to struggle hours fighting with a puzzling software! I haven't tested it yet but I way wait until some key features get fixed :)

Looks like a fabulous gadget, and perhaps well made as Loupdeck improve quality of it's products, given the original Loupdeck was very poor and the subsequent Loupdeck + an enormous improvement, but as much as I like the idea of this, it will surely add to the workflow in Photoshop and Lightroom. All of Adobe apps are optimised for mouse and keyboard use and unless you're new to computers a this is so intuitive. Adding the CT requires a learning curve, and I am so sure that after a while and seasoned PS or LR user will return to just using a mouse and keyboard. Looks like a good design (I hope that is USB-C), and thanks for allowing comments on a commercial KZread page - which gives me confidence in your organisation.

Hi @Loupedeck I'm having quite a hard time pairing my new CT to Photoshop. Premiere pro is not a problem, I have access to the full tool palette, but working on Photoshop is another story. Is it supposed to be a plug and use thing or is there something to install within the software (like I did in Premiere, adding the Loupedeck CT in the "Surface Control" section. I thought there would be an option a bit similar in Photoshop but there isn't)? I checked the set up and support sections on your website and still I haven't found any tip. Also, I clicked the "Contact Support" link to the bottom of your website but this one doesn't lead anywhere, which is why I have to request for help over here on KZread...

Hello. I bought the Loupedeck Live to mainly do colour work in Photoshop. It's been really hard to set it up the way I want to use it. My main issue is that I can't find a way to access the different colour channels in Photoshop within the loupedeck for eg with Colour Balance, Hue/Sat, Selective colour and curves, the options are very limited. All I want the Loupedeck to do is being able use the knobs/dials to move the sliders in those adjustments layers as those adjustments have multiple channels in them . Any help would be awesome, thanks!

Are all the controls on the device assignable? I.e can I choose which brush dynamics are controlled by the dials? Also, is it just the video or is it slightly laggy coz when you’re turning the dials for brush size it looks delay.

Hi there, you can map Photoshop Actions on the Loupedeck to use one button to run a pre-made set of color adjustments. We don't have access to the Camera Raw presets, so those can't be mapped to a button unfortunately. Let us know if this answered your question :)

I'm having another look because I got a cintiq and I'm having keyboard issues. Maybe there's a better way to place things so I can use both. I'm not sure there'd be a place to place this and not sure I could learn to work it just by touch. But it's smaller, maybe I could find a way to work it. Also looking at ways to make a nicer in PShop control center for my tools MY tools. Will try to be all open minded and stuff and have another watch. I WANT to like this.

Hello, is there any chance to avoid zooming on picture while using dials assigned to other controls (contrast, clarity etc.)... Whenever I turn any dial it zooms, in the end all dials are useless then... Is this guide outdated? My Photoshop profile doesn't look like this out of the box. How does the device decide to switch into Dynamic Layer Properties workspace? Until I figure out how that happens, it will slow my workflow down because it can't become muscle memory.

  • @Loupedeck

Hi! This video is over 1,5 years old, and since then both Photoshop and our software have changed quite a lot. You can find the "Layer Properties (Dynamic)" workspace from the left-hand-side menu, and assign to any button you like. We recommend assigning workspaces to the round buttons.

The Layer Properties (Dynamic) workspace consists of dynamic pages for both the dials and touch buttons, that automatically get filled with actions and adjustments from the Properties panel of the selected layer. It is like any other workspace in the sense that you can assign it to any button, and need to press that button for it to active. You can also add dynamic layer properties as a dial and/or touch button page to any other workspace you want. In addition, you can assign specific adjustments or actions to the dials or touch buttons, that will stay there regardless of the layer selected. By default, you have the bottom row of the touch buttons filled with actions that are commonly used with layer masks.
