haha I gotta put rocks in it because sometimes that tide is rolling hard through there and it will run off with your basket real fast. My buddy lost a bunch of shrimp the other day because he put it too far into the water without any weight and it dumped his basket over and he barely caught it in time. I learned that years ago if you want it in the water you better weigh it down hahaha

I don't share spots anymore because I do a lot of fishing on the land and it's already too crowded at most of the spots I go too. Last thing I want is to go tell everyone where every spot is so that every time I go I never can get a spot anymore. Until I get a boat that I can go find the fish I won't share my spots.

Get a flat bottom with heavy mushroom anchors to hold the boat in position ease into the mud if you want them back . If you just drop a 40lb mushroom anchor hard and fill the boat with shrimp you have to leave the anchor or sink the boat .

Because shrimp only come through at certain times and when they come through you throw your ass off and there is no time to throw all that back. If you spend all your time throwing small fish back you never catch shrimp.

Horse crap. I cast net myself and manage to get the fish back in the water. There weren’t hundreds of shrimp being caught per cast. It’s a cast net, not a shrimp boat. Use a champagne basket and toss the first back. It’s really simple and fast.

No need for a heavy net when shrimping in 3-4 feet of water. It's no deeper than 4 foot in the middle of that river. Everyone uses 3/4 of a lb per foot nets. The most popular around here is Old Salt.
