His uzbagx tote is beautifully colored, very sturdy and the perfect size. Not too small, not too big. I look forward to joining my rotation.

Looking forward to seeing the results of the repair! 6 weeks seem like a reasonable time. Happy to hear you had a good experience at the boutique with someone very helpful.😊 💕

Everyone else seems to have a longer waiting period with their LV repair items so fingers crossed it’s actually 6 weeks 😅

@@WithaTouchofLuxury Oh, mine took 6 weeks. It was slated for 9 but was shorter. So I think 6 is very possible.🤞

I had my 55B keepall redone at the beginning of 2021, it is gorgeous and just like new. It was $960-USD and took 16 weeks. I’m glad they have caught up on repairs.

That’s a lot of money to fix a bag. I was wondering how much it would cost. Because I have seen some duffel bags on eBay and I was just wondering how much they would cost to get them fix

We think so differently. To me I would be willing to pay more as long as it's still a good price relative to the current RRP rather than what I paid for the bag 😅😅😅 But if you just change the one side, I don't think it matters to much. For a big bag, I think it's not too obvious that there is a different strip of vachetta on one side💕💕💕

Heh for me it comes down to 2 things: I’m not willing to pay a lot for a luggage piece & I don’t like the esthetics of a monogram Keepall with new vachetta 😆 soooo I guess I’m only left with this option 😅

Damn, they really make a client pay for repairs!😏 Hi Poola! 😁I was wondering what was your decision on this bag. Thanks for sharing it with us! I guess I answered you under the original video that I'd just turn to a cobbler if I am not willing to sell in future. 800€ feels like lots to just pay for repairs so I am with you on partial repairs. If I might suggest-bring the long shoulder strap to a cobbler, he can make made to measure shoulder strap using the original metal pieces from the old lv strap.

Such a great suggestion! I didn’t even think that to be an option for the strap👌

It‘s been already 3 months? 😱 wow, time is flying 😅 I probably would only get the borken part fixed, then wrap the whole bag (except the new part) up in several layers, so no sun get‘s through anymore - and expose the new part for days in direct sunlight

Yep I also thought that it’s not that long ago since I filmed the first video… but yeah, over 3 months and just now I managed to even go to the store to ask for the prices 😆

A cobbler can tint the new leather to closely match the existing leather. I'd most definitely ask for a synthetic inner D ring support be used in place of fiber board. As the leather stretches & ages. The fiber board is basically paper & it breaks down too. As a result you have a strap failure. Which is your issue. A synthetic reinforcement piece will last far longer. Watch Bedos Leather Repair. He does a lot of LV bags. You'll see what I'm talking about. When he repairs straps

We are so different with the thought process on this! :p They have to deconstruct a large portion of the bag just to replace one piece of leather. I personally would just replace it all. Or none and buy a new one, sell the one you have to help fund it. It is good that there are options. 6 weeks is fast! I submitted a speedy 35 for new leather and they told me 6-8 MONTHS!

agree! re: none , depending if could find one pre-loved for less than new and around total repair cost would rather put monies toward that!

I did consider to sell mine and buy a new one but from the over consumption point if view that didn’t feel good to me so I’m ”left” with the repair 😅 good to know that the repair might take a lot longer than estimated 😳 6-8 months is CRAZY!

plus, if you had the handles replaced at different times, they would have to rip apart your bag multiple times. I definitely would not want that for thought that stress would degrade the bag. also, aftermarket repairs separate from the manufacturer void the warranty/possibility for future repairs, indefinitely.

  • @WithaTouchofLuxury

Hehe procrastination has been my problem so far 😬😬 as I can use the bag still I haven’t managed to take it to be fixed as I don’t know yet do I only want to change the one part at LV or with a cobbler or would it make sense to exchange all the leather parts (and I’m not yet ready to pay that much with either a cobbler or LV) 😅

I'm coming a little late to this and I liked watching your video. I would say I would do both sides not all of it just both sides where the rings are that the strap attaches to because clearly if one side broke because of age and use because of carrying the bag the other side may too. So I would probably have done both sides and skipped the rest

They'll tell you 6 weeks but you better be ready to wait a year. Not that it would happen to you, but I keep hearing from girls in different groups how long they've been waiting. Under 3 months doesn't seem to be the norm.
