This video is packed with A LOT of art tips! I'll take you on a tour of my sketches and paintings from this past week and talk about what I like (and don't) along with where my art is going. We'll also test what is hopefully my missing supply to make outdoor painting complete. Then I'll show you a way to use reference photos so you can get in quick and get painting or sketching. I even demonstrate it with a sketchbook spread and show you my process in real time!

I love how loose and scritchy your artwork is. That’s exactly how I like to draw too, chunky pencils and all. But I always stop myself from drawing bc… I always just thought that it’s not allowed? Like, it’s not a “real” style of drawing so I shouldn’t do it? This mindset probably has something to do with a Childhood Wound; perfectionism to meet parental expectations + if it’s not a science or sport, I’m just wasting my time… 31 years old and I’m still unlearning this/trying to heal. I’ve managed to free myself with abstract painting, but pencil drawings are the last hurdle (which makes sense bc they were the first form of art I tried and “failed” at as a kid). I very much appreciate your videos showing your real-time creating process, and your sketchbook show-and-tells are inspiring and encouraging. Thank you for sharing with us!
