Letting go of my MOST TOXIC art practice, new art mindsets, sketchbook painting & seaside mini tour.
We definitely don't talk about this one enough! Toxic art practices can...well...really bring the whole thing crashing down. But there's one in particular that's super nasty and I'm talking about what I'm doing about it this week. Lot's of juicy sketchbook flip-throughs and painting. Plus! A bit of a tour of my little village by the sea. Grab a coffee or tea and let's chat!

Truly appreciate your talent
I love this, and I agree with you 100%. I thinking the process of making art is more important than the end product. Thats where the healing comes. I'm an art therapist so my whole aporoach to art is different than the typical artist marketing themselves, although I do want to transition more into the marketplace I never want to feel like I have to or loose the magic of free and spontaneous expression. I also have limited time with working full time, taking care of family members, ministry, etc, and I also live by the beach. This was very inspiring. Thank you!

Thank you! Yes I totally get this. I don’t want to just make a thing. I want to experience all the good things that come from having made something. So much richer!
Love your art mindset!
Well said, Lauren. ❤ I love that the first course you discussed showed you how you DON’T want to operate. And I’m glad you came back out creating on the other side.
Lovely movement in that spread. I always get so much value for the time I spend watching your videos. You are a muse for many of us! Thank you and have fun with the family ❤

That’s so sweet. Thank you! ❤️
This was such a nice video to watch! I agree and relate with what you say so much. It’s so easy to get caught in the “social media game” but art has a slower pace… love your sketchbook too! Beautiful spreads 😊
so inspiring ❤
I love getting into thw ZONE! I'vw actually looked at paintngs the next day and felt like the painting poltergists has visited me! Making art inti work saps the joy.
I resonate with this deeply right now. Thank you for saying it so well.
I’m pretty sure I took that same program and had the same experience. So glad you figured out how to break out of the toxic productivity cycle!
Loved this! 100% agree that it is about loving the process.

totally agree xx
I LOVE the movement and colors you chose for that art journal entry!! What tubes of paint are you using to squeeze onto your finger to smudge into the journal?

Hi! I’m not sure what part it is but all the supplies are listed below! It might be a Holbein gouache though.
