It isn't. He said it's part of the job, which it is and so is the right to moan a bit... Cracked ribs are amazingly painful, it takes a long time for the pain to go away (took e a month) so the fact that within a week he was working at such an active film shows great endurance and inner strength, even if he did complain.

What makes it even better is that apparently Viggo was one of the cast at the time who came onto the project with little or no prior Lord of the Rings knowledge. Then watching these BTS interviews, he shows how much of the universe he learned on his own during production. Enough, even, to make some pretty clever jokes and references!

@New England Views Right?! Nor have half the people commenting. Broken ribs have been more painful by far than most of my other broken bones and injuries. I went about my life and still worked (roofing) and such, but broken ribs are no joke.
