@@unclewalt1 i think it refers to the fact that SoCal bros in their 20s would often live together and give their apartment a moniker (it's almost like they're continuing the frat lifestyle). you're not going to Paul and Dave's place, you're going to the Lenwood House (which is probably on Lenwood ave). at least that was my experience living in San Diego for several years.

It's more than just being bored, he's describing most of the main symptoms of clinical depression. Loss of interest in previously pleasurable activities (anhedonia), difficulty sleeping, low energy, low motivation, feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, generalized anxiety (feeling of dread) with no discernible cause, and an increasing preference to isolate from others are some of the hallmark symptoms of a mood disorder.

This is so razor sharp that I'm having trouble laughing but it's one of my all time favourite bits. Love that he flys so close to the mark that he pulls out the character's pain, his real pain and our pain in one fell swoop while giving us some brilliant observational humour based on a stereotype, there is so much going on underneath this skit which makes it brilliant. I dont know any other comedian with a greater understanding of the human psyche. This is a literal comedic genius at work and its inspiring.

I know it's a joke but I've known so many people with issues that could be easily fixed, living in misery because they think doctors and rx meds are dangerous. Coming from a bipolar guy in his 30's who hasn't had a manic or depressive episode in a decade - because I've been properly medicated the whole time. Saved my life. It took me 4 years to see a doctor and all my pain lifted within like a month of seeing one. Yeah, you might have to try a few meds before you hit the right combo, but trust your dr and stick with it - future you will thank you.

Thank god you're doing something new Kyle. I keep seeing projects by you Beck and Nick that are awesome, but were cut short for whatever reason. You guys are one of the best sketch troupes out right now, refreshing actually. Please continue to make awesome comedy with your pals and rolling solo, thanks.

Todd, Sometimes we go through times in our lives that are difficult to get through, but they are only temporary, and quite easy to overcome. I am familiar with the feeling of hopelessness that you described, and I can honestly tell you that it is completely surmountable. Things may look pretty bleak right now, but find the things that do make you happy, and keep doing them. Talk to your family. Get outside and try new things. There is a wonderful world waiting out there for you, leave your mark.

The subtlety in all the right places is the reason this channel is so fucking genius. It’s done so damn well I truly believe 95-99% of comedians making a living right now couldn’t write these lines and come anywhere close to hitting on the same level. The subtlety is truly genius…

Hey kyle it's been a few years since you posted this video and hope things are going well for you. I think you're a young man and you're just growing up and there's something inside you that wants more out of life than just blunts, mp3, tall cans and the rest. You probably are also scared of losing your friends that you share all these experiences with including your girlfriend and don't want to lose them are have them think that you are leaving them and feeling disrespected. If they respect you and really care about you they should respect any new life choices you wish to make and if not sometimes you have to cut ties and do what's right and best for yourself. Stay strong dude and good luck!
