Lost Patrol - Atari ST / STE

Ойындар

In this video, Lost Patrol, released in 1990 for the Atari ST by Ocean.
During the Vietnam war, a helicopter escroting a patrol of 7 men land crashed in the middle of a jungle. After realising that the nearest U.S. camp of Du Hoc was 60 miles away, being low on food, drink and ammo, our troop started their long march, hoping to survive in a foreign strange land, hoping to avoid vietcong troops, booby-traps, mine fields and starvation. Our job is to lead this patrol to home and safety in this war-strategy game with arcade sequences.
Graphically impressive, this game sports digitized scenes that shows what's going on around you, while walking through forests, plains, rivers, villages and mountains. The audio is limited to a soundtrack that adds atmosphere and some digitized sound fx. The playability is good, every run is different from the previous, because encounters are casual and depends on your strategies. As a side note, this game make you feel the struggle, the fear that soldiers had to endure during war and, the burden of command.
Here you'll find gameplay and bad end.
Ps. Back in the days, I've never completed this game, arriving at maximum 5 miles away from the goal. In other attempts, I died by falling into booby-traps, assaulted by civilians in a village and betrayed by my troop for having force marched too much without food; they put a live nade into my backpack.
All footage taken from original hardware machines and upscaled to 1080P.
Let me know what do you think about the video in the comments below but, most important, Enjoy!!!
