I've gotten lost so often in Ul'dah that i know every pathway in it, through it, and around it, and still end up more lost than a kid in a supermarket.

Funfact: Ul’dah was the most popular city in 1.0 because it was so much easier to navigate than Limsa or Grid.

every time! nothing helps, quest marker doesn’t help, map doesn’t help… at some point I just gave up and now pretend Ul’dah quests don’t exist.

I'd rather go back to Waking Sands than ever try to set foot on Ul'dah.

Gridania. Something about the layout of that place feels so empty and wasted, like it is a theme park and I will always be a tourist. It may have even influenced my classes, as the only Gridania class I leveled was my starting class, Archer. Its saving grace is the higher chance for aetheryte bards, at least on Malboro. I learned how to navigate Ul'dah to check out seasonal decorations; I think it's very well designed for foot travel and I quite like just jogging to objectives occasionally. Meanwhile, I will never voluntarily run from the Limsa aetheryte to the west end ever again. It looks nice, but to me the place is a list of destinations and little more.
