So, this is the first chapter in our exploration of Patagonia. Since our flight took us to Punta Arenas, Chile, we decided to stay a couple days to check things out. Being this is our first travel VLOG; we did not bring his and her mics. If you have ever been to the area, you would know the wind is unyielding. But hey, it's all good. Life is an adventure and sometimes, you just have to roll with it.
It would be nice if they had a direct flight from the U.S. to Southern South America. It seems that if you travel to Argentina or Chile, you must go through either, Santiago, Chile or Buenos Aires, Argentina. Big bummer! The flights with layovers ate up almost two days. The first full day in Punta Arenes, Chile, we felt like a couple of zombified old folks.
Besides indulging in some great food, we visited a famous cemetery, explored the quaint streets of Punta Arenas, and a wonderful island penguin tour via a very cold boat ride.
