Just as a memo, I used 900,000 in raw gold to reach +25 from +20 and the value of the materials at the time of honing were worth approximately 3,300,000 gold that I purchased directly instead of self-farming, making the total cost of this venture 4,200,000 gold. I thought I had nearly enough materials at the beginning of the honing session but actually had to buy a bit more weapon crystals, leapstones, and fusion materials near the end biting into my initial gold held. Via the exchange, this estimates the USD cost via the Blue Crystal to Royal Crystal exchange to be ~$2,900 to brute force +25 at the height of its cost. Though, incidentally, the cost of the materials went up after I honed this weapon since more people subsequently obtained their weapons in the weeks after. It's still presumed material prices will fall to under 50% of this cost in raw components over the next several months. The comment I made at 3:40 was a bit of an exaggeration, but it was napkin mathed at a cost of 80 gold per stack of 10 weapon crystals, 160 gold per leapstone, 65 gold per fusion material, 600 gold per 1,500 shard bags, and about 3,300 gold on average raw. This made each click or attempt fluctuate between 30,000 and 40,000 gold per 'click' in raw value of materials between +20 and +25. Our Blue Crystal exchange in Korea hovers at around 3,000 gold per 100 Blue Crystals if not selling skin boxes. When I last honed my Sorceress back in December, her +25 Brelshaza weapon cost about the same amount at the very beginning of that tier (as I had to buy a lot of the fragments back then), and today that weapon actually costs 75% less than what I paid back in December. I actually didn't have to buy any fragments this time around, as she self-farmed 6,500,000 honor fragments over the time she spent not honing. This is the cost of honing at the beginning of a brand new tier when raw mats are at their priciest.

i noticed that you tend to max the use of green protection mats first before the other 2. That might be why you ran out of the greens first since the last one being used tends to be used less to cap on the honing chance increase. Anywho, congratz on your +25 weapon! i can not imagine myself brute forcing 20 - 25 in a sitting. Would probably run out of sanity hearing all those failed hone sound effects. XD

To those who get freaked out by this, you can stay on curve for current content for a small fraction of the cost. It was dicey to start but even the casual ftps are caught up to current content levels. (1475 as of this week), don't think you need to pump thousands of dollars just to play the game, this is purely whale play. (As he mentioned)

I dont think I wanna spent 3k for a temporary improvement. Ive spent that amount of money on BDO but unlike lost ark a max level best in slot weapon will remain a max level best in slot weapon. Up to this the they havent made anything above and its been like 4 yrs now. So Id go down on a 25 weapon in lost ark if it wasnt for the unavoidable gear devaluation.

Theres really no point to go for a +25 unless you want to spend the money or flex. Even in the korean version they "only" needed full +20/+22 to get access to Akkan, the newest legion raid, with the old gear.
