I recommend the blaze skill, removing "Ignite" and putting "Damage Amplification" and always using it as the first skill in the rotation, in addition to increasing your damage, it increases your team's damage.

@@killersoxos Blaze is a skill for you to gain more synergy and increased damage, not a skill to deal damage. So it would be one of the last skills you would put 10 points on.

Small tip: before you use Arcane, cast Doomsday, Blaze and then use Arcane. That will reduce the CD of Doomsday so you can use it again after 12 seconds instead of having to wait 32. You can also play around with your rotations to have Explosion and Punishing Strike on CD before you cast Arcane as those CD's will be reduced as well. Wont work everytime due to how fights can be messy, but when it does, its huge damage boost.

just want to point out that the arcanist/arcana is a totally different class in lost ark, that is a advanced class of the mage, and as for blaze if you are doing raid/guardian content, it would be better to go 7 points in not 10 and just get damage amp and charge flame, for extra uses to make keeping up your synergy up easier, or you can op for lighting vortex to do the same. and just wanted to add instead of going stabilized status, hit master will be better as it offers up 16% without any side effects

Fun to play? Absolutely, ignite sorc can hit the big boy numbers. Easy to play? Debatable. Without prior boss knowledge, you can often lose your damage window due to the boss moving a little bit during a combo or starting a mechanic. Good vid, hope this brings more ppl to the ignite train.

Igniter sorc is literally the hardest sorc build to play optimally because you have to know the boss patterns well. Followed by casting reflux (same playstyle as igniter but can use teleport on demand) with the easiest one being insta reflux build. (not locked into animations and long cast times + teleports on demand). This video, while detailed nicely, is completely wrong with calling it an easy to play build.

isn’t this how most classes if not all works?? every class has one or two hard hitting skills that if u don’t know the boss mechanic and do them at the wrong time well it’s a waste.

Is it me or did you say to use Sepharic Hail to build the meter and then you didn’t include it later in the video when talking about the order to cast spells? Also, you mentioned this is an igniter build I thought but didn’t even mention it during engravings

Not using blaze first in rotation for the group buff seems weird

Thank you so much for this, just what i was looking for. I know now that i was on the right track in some areas of my igniter sorc!!

Adrenaline engraving should be mentioned too. since we build our special meter before we deal much more damage with arcane torrent, we should be full stack which mean more ATK and more Crit for almost no downside if you play correctly (and since I'm an average player, i can tell it's kinda easy) One of my first pick... and it benefit all our skills

Id recommend Reverse Gravity instead of Esoteric Reaction, deals damage quicker and super useful when getting crowded by waves of enemies, stopping you from receiving damage as they're lifted into the air helping you keep above 80%HP and maintain good position. I choose wide angle attack to increase radius by 20% and electric attack area for more damage. Ive also had enemies move clear of the crystal before the explosion countless times so for crowd control reverse gravity is a no brainer for me

I have enjoyed playing reflux build, and I think I will stick to it. Main points are having the arcane torrent for use with another set of long-range dodges whilst learning the game on a really squishy class and not having to cram my skills into a tiny burst window. Instead, I have the damage and cooldowns going all the time. Also, being able to use that extra movement skill later on, in the case of touching both grudge and cursed doll, seems more prudent to avoid accidental positioning.

ive played igniter, then reflux. I thought the extra dash with reflux is gonna help me out more, and it did, but not that much. By the time i reach t3, all i do is standing in 1 place and slightly move out of the way of the boss. What make it hard for igniter in early game is supports dont do their work, so every little dmg like the boss auto attack is built up overtime and very punishing if you dont dodge literally everything. Once you reach a certain tier, support help you out with small dmg and let you just do your thing and dodge big things, its easier to play igniter. Reflux main thing is still the relic set in the top end which we wont have access to anytime soon, so ill probably go for igniter for the moment

@@MefoWho So true, in T1-T2 igniter felt a real struggle, every guardian raid was a dodge fiesta, trying to stay alive constantly I didn't really think about what was the main difference, i thought my gear just got better, but i think you're right, support roles are much better at T3, and Igniter feels insanely fun and powerful, gear/skills are better so you build up much faster, and you press the "button"(arcane rupture) :) and the huge numbers you see during your burn phase is insane

Nicely detailed guide, i thought i know everything already about the Sorceress, but could have learnt some stuff still. Thank you! One note: You missed mention Seraphic hail from the middle of the guide(Rotation, tripods, rune), but in the begining sort of i got the impression that we should use Seraphic instead of Squall(due to meele classes will counter anyway), to strengthen the build up phase.

Thought the same thing. ITs one of the skills for the build phase but doesn’t even get mentioned during the section that talks about the order to cast skills.

I tried to copy this build, but ran into some trouble when you brought up a ninth skill at around 9:39. I have no more slots left :o

Something I dont understand about the video. We are told to get Frost Call, Rime arrow, Seraphic Hail as builders wwith the enlightment. Thats 3 skills. Then our spenders are Doomsday, Explosion, Punishing Strike. That makes 6 skills. Then we are told to get Blaze, Esoteric Reaction and Squall. Thats total of 9 skills. Im probably overlooking something but which skills do i not get now?

That's because you could take Squall if you want/need a counter, otherwise, melee characters are more suitable to counter instead of you which free you from this duty. I personally do not really like Esoteric Reaction unless i can put 10 points for a faster explosion. Most of the time, bosses will charge/jump and such before it deal damage (from my experience) (yet, still deal good amount of damage so don't overlook it)

I really didn't understand how to level my character at all on this game with the tripod system running along side it. Thanks for giving me a way to focus my points to be effective 👍

@vulcan the last upgrade you get is when you reach punika skill tree on your gears. Probably skill tree on enlightenment for id meter gain. Just like my shadow hunter encroachment to fill my specialty meter.

Hit-master instead of Cursed Doll, since sorc doesnt do back or frontal dmg, it basically doesnt have cons for sorcs

I count nine skills… he says blaze, frosts call, rime arrow, seraphic hail, doomsday, explosion, punishing strike, squall and esoteric reaction

@@2886cjjr Squall is mentioned in case you need/want a counter. But in most cases, Melee characters will do it better than us so we can ignore Squall and focus on other skill. It still good to mentioned it in case Sorcerer apprentice ignore which skill is our counter skill (which is important in my opinion)

Yeah, iam already used build like you, its fun play for me now iam using field boss card set, increase up 15% hp, sorceres is lowest hp, with that card i can fight lil bit longer, for engraving iam maintenance all out attack at level 3 so short cast and high damage, igniter on lv 2 iam focus that two engraving for now

I don't understand why people say to use STABILIZED CRYSTAL instead of SHOCKWAVE on Esoteric Reaction when SHOCKWAVE deals 20% more range and 30% more damage than the former (70% instead of 40%). The same goes to MAGICK AMPLIFICATION on Doomsday, when FINAL STRIKE DOES 160% on crit.

Pretty sure this is just an igniter variant. Calling it “arcanist” is gonna confuse people with the ACTUAL arcanist class coming…. Just a thought

Hey, I just wanted to say I pick Charge Flame on Blaze and Inferno, because of 2 reasons. 1st is that since you can use them 2 times, you can gain more arcane meter (if I am not mistaken, let me know if I am) but the main reason is the 2nd one, which is, I use Rage rune on those skills, so it gives me double the chance to proc Rage buff which gives me %12 atk speed, means faster cast on Doomsday, Explosion or Punishing Strike. The only problem is I still didnt get an orange Rage.

@vulkan. I have 330 skill points. You mentioned Seriphic Hail to charge up arcane awakening but you didn’t mention tripod. I want to remove squall because I’m going to be doing ranged attacks anyway, can you please tell me what tripods you used?

What about Seraphic Hail? I didnt see that during the Abilities tripod breakdown

for skill that have final strike tripod, its more worth it to take that if you have high crit rate...

this guide is by far the best on youtube for sorcerer simple quick and to the point btw i would put flame area for faster drop meteor on doomsday tripod cause that dmg doesn’t matter too much when meteor drops so slow and you might miss with middle engraving asteroid

I found it very confusing how at least on the NA servers I play on from Australia, the igniter engraving says it is activated by "magic amplification" which is the level 10 tripod option on yout big hitting spells, instead of correctly listing it as activating from arcane torrent. I have seen it called all sorts of different things on various regions and I dont understand how something as simple as spell names and effects are so fucking jumbled its rediculous >_

If you're taking Precise dagger anyways, why not take the Final Strike tripod for the casting spells for extra crit damage? Should come out at more damage than with magic amp no?

You want the base damage to be as high as possible for the extra crit damage you get from igniter engraving. Final strike helps with reflux more because you don’t have any crit damage mods from the class engraving.

what about Igniter class bonus engraving, you did not talk about it

Why should I invest in 5 engravings and read 5 different types of books (don't mean colours) if I can only use 2 engravings in the spots in my equipment?

@vulcan why do you take all out atk engraving instead of instead of super charge? Super charge has 20% faster cast time boost over all atk. The only thing I see is that frost call is a holding skill but you use the unstable rule node to change it to a point/normal skill, not sure if it still gets the benefit after you use the node.

Really good guide, but iguess hitmaster is better than precise dagger imo

Hit master and precise dagger are 2 different things, one is for pure dmg stat the other is for crit chance. If you want to replace precise dagger you can go for adrenaline, but i would advise against it as igniter build since your cooldown are quite long. Reflux sorc works better with Adrenaline.

Why no Sorceresses ever use Elegian's Touch is beyond me. The huge amount of extra survivability IMHO way out weighs the minor damage that a skill like Squall adds. We have the only bubble that can nearly last forever, especially if you are a good dodger. It also allows you to position in spots that you would never normally consider. Plus you can take a hit without the worry of being staggered. I'm not saying that you should stand in front of a boss and face tank, but I have with weaker ones. Yes it drains mana a little, but mana recovers sooooo fast (especially compared to Health) that by time you reposition, you are back at full. Done plenty of Guardian fights where I never had to heal and was damage MVP. Haha, I guess I am of the mind that a live Sorceress does better DPS than a dead one.

Elegian Touch can be a lifesaver however if you are always hit it depletes your mana, causing it to be a very choopy and inefficient/ineffecetive gameplay,. if you need something to prevent death why not use lvl 1 emergency rescue/crsis evasion instead and dish out more dmg

all i got from this engraving section is severely end game tier 3 stuff that isn't relevant till maybe 3-4 months down the roadmap. Also, that rotation isn't that only for a downed enemy? no shot you'll get those off in time without meter

I just don't understand how you can get all these skills to 10. I have 266 skill points and you have 279 but are able to get skills to 10 far more often than I am. This is always a problem that I don't understand and makes me just not want to play.

pls don't listen to this guy, playing ignite w/o 15/15 all out attack engraving is just a hindrance to the group, you will end up missing 70% if not more of your casted spells like explosion, doomsday and punishing strike (outside of the arcane torrent state) and you will build your arcane torrent gauge mega slow cuz you dont have enough spec. roll reflux until you can get a decent ammount of engraving points and gear in the end game.

I played a build similiar to this one from the start and ofc you need to learn the movements of a boss but you have to do this with every build, this build hits and it hits hard

This build needs 15/15 ALL OUT, I agree. I play a 1350 ignite sorc and without ALL OUT this build is clunky as hell. Grudge is not the play.

This is the worst guide I've ever seen LMAO

this game really lacks combos and chain skills all classes have 2 support skills or buffs or dodges then 6 more skills to cast with no order pretty noob friendly system if it takes let’s say 1000 hours on a class to become pro other games need 5k 10k hours to be pro cause you always spam minimum 10 skills + chains + combos + dodges + i frame skills don’t know how i feel about that in lost ark but definitely not a huge fun of combat system
