For people who are undecided on what to do for their Artillerist Swift/Crit: Tons of stagger, mobility, and utility. Lowest DPS out of all three "builds" Nightmare Relic set is the go to. Spec/Swift: Most balanced, and best all around. great damage. Will be the most popular. 2nd most DPS. Hallucination set is the go to. Spec/Crit: Highest DPS out of all 3. Insane damage and uptime. Downside is you move as slow as Gunlancer. Your cooldowns are long. Requires alot of help from supports and relic gear to compensate its lack of mobility. Its advised to go to this when you are at the end of endgame. Salvation Set is the go to

Tbh with the new balance patch spec/crit is pretty comfortable to play. And spec art can still do more damage than the “normal” art even if they miss like half of their big skills xD

@@rayzhang7591 Agreed. My T2 spec/crit alt missed so many skills in Chromatium Raid the other day and still 33% damage MVP'd with only 6 ilvl above par vs Berserkers & Sorcs with higher ilvl.

Artillerist is such a cool underrated class, nice video.

Awesome vid, much appreciated! One thing I would add: while you were doing the 'rotation' demonstration, you weren't showing the DPS (start test button). This isn't a deal breaker at all, but It is nice to see the DPS and DMG that a rotation has to see what its potential can be. Thanks a lot man!

You're welcome! Wait for my Specialization guide too, and try both of them out in Trixion, before you commit with Relic accessories in case you're 1415+, as they are expensive.

Lovely! I was wondering why the electric tripode was the main one, as per the third tripod it enhance Frost and Fire damages (the two other tripods available) , so no regret to swap it. Great video man! Keep it up.

Surprised you never mentioned Forward Barrage? Its what I use instead of Enhanced Shell. It gives a lot of Firepower Meter, especially when paired with the Dancing Explosions tripod and a Wealth rune. You have to be very close to the boss to use it though.

He said that for switfness builds is overkill, generates too much fp, but is really good for a spec build. For swiftness build he would recommend swing instead of Fwd Barrage, or enhanced shell.

So since the balance patch is the crit build and having firepower at lvl 1 pretty much not proffered to this swift build with maxing firepower engraving? I've been running fire power at 1 with max grudge hit master and keen blunt with adrenaline at lvl 2 which was very hard to pull off. It seems more consistent since I don't really have to worry about crits and when I'm maxed at firepower gague it serves more as a dmg buff than anything.

u can use the barrage mode behind the pillar and do the laser

Yeah I wish I would have been faster with the guide too. At lease you know for Relic set if you still want to go Swiftness, even though Spec is a higher DPS

i was gonna build spec crit artil for the insane dps but then i saw the price of the gear and went pure swiftness build instead. spec build costs 150k plus gold for crappy qual gear. pure swiftness cost less then 15k with really nice gual gear.... ppl saying vultan and vykas has dps checks yet i fail too see it. sure the faster you kill the less mechs you see but if you cant beat the mech you shouldn't beat the raid.

quickfire for air raid doesn't go over your attack speed cap right if you're going swiftness?

Hi, good question. With legendary accessories - no, it actually maxes it out at 140% if you leave it at base tripod With only Relic accessories, assuming you're at 1300 swi 700 crit - yes it goes over by 3% but still valuable. And with a full relic Nightmare set, it actually looses some value as you would be naturally very close to 140% atk speed

Thanks for posting this, this build seems 'old' now and I can't much about it on KR that isn't outdated since they are raving about Spec builds. Would you ever recommend lvl 1 barrage on the swiftness build if I plan on cheaping out on my relic accessories for 4x4+1? The barrage doesn't interact with nightmare set at all.

Great guide my man, been playing Artillerist as my main since day 1. Quick question.....noticed my tripods are bugged such that Laser Turret is stuck at rank one despite have +3 on my gear, same situation with Forward Barrage / Firepower control (stuck at rank 1 with +2 on my gear not taking effect). Any thoughts? Thanks again as always.

Hm strange, are you maybe somehow applying a saved inventory tripod set, via the Integrated Presets, which overwrites your current (higher) perks?

I think it's weaker than Cursed Doll, Hit Master and Raid Captain in terms of DPS potential, and it also forces you into another element in the rotation, which is to always have the energy field available when you get your big hits off. Which makes Energy Field a prerequisite for Homing Barrage and Air Raid, so you can't choose when to use it anymore (maybe you need it to survive or generally use less pots). It also puts you in a tough spot when choosing Energy Field mid tripod. Do you keep it longer on yourself and get to cast maybe a Multiple Rocket, or a Bombardment:Howitzer, or do you get it shorter cooldown so you can actually have it as often as Firepower Level 3.

Hey man, I'm 1430, I'm doing crit 1500, swift 500. Currently I'm firepower 3, Keenblunt 3, Cursed doll 3, Barricade 3, and Barrage 1. I went Barricade because it seemed to be the least expensive option I had whereas my other option was Grudge but it's a bit expensive. Am I crippling myself or is it fine I'm running Barricade. I am an Artillerist after all and we have a pretty well shielded kit. Lmk what your thoughts are. BTW I subbed, great content, keep up the awesome work.

hey sywo .. i love this built for Artillerist but i have Huge unplayable problem with this built that i run Out of mana Super fast .. most of the time iam forced to wait for mana to use my skills .. i even force myself to enter barrage mode to waste time for my mana to recover .. seriesly i even put mana reduce rune on my skills and still feel the built is not smooth .. i have full level 7 gem for reduce CD .. and got 1200 switfness it is like22% cooldown reduction .. is it too much ? or am i missing somthing .. any idea ?

For energy field, why not use a MP reduction rune? I got about 1.1k switfness as well, and I never run out of mp, and even if I do, I can go turret mode. Also, what about forward barrage? It is a counter skill as well, and the first pod gives fp generation increase, with a low cd as well. I keep fwd barrage with rage rune.

Hi, in a swiftness build it actually gets you too much Firepower meter, which is not good because it doesn't fit with the big skills that are longer cooldown, so you end up not using it on purpose. Not to mention it's a weak DPS skill, compared to Enhanced Shell for example. Also, the counter is slow compared to Swing and of course, swing is mega mega value for the mobility too. In later content of course, Legion Raids etc. Having all this said, FB is a fantastic skill for a Specialization build, because the point there is to get to Bombardment mode as often as possible and at any expense, so like you said, this gives you a lot of Firepower.

I'm not pissed just very worried that I will have to pay a lot of real money when Summ comes out just to be able to keep playing with my friends. Friends which now want me on my Artillerist so I can't even put aside mats as I need to use on this toon to keep up with them. Overall, a bad situation that's no-one's fault, just bad game design as to how endgame needs you to do to get "there".

Hi, there is no "huge" buff to Focus Fire (the W in Bombardment). No real need to use it and stay longer in the immobile state of Bombardment, not to mention that in some cases it would result in not being able to land one or two of your biggest DPS skills for a second time during Firepower 3. The changes it received are beneficial for a Specialization build and make it's usage more comfortable and efficient. No damage was added to the skill compared to how it was before this week's balance patch. @@SywoSan very rarely in a boss fight you can do a perfect rotation like this vid mate. Theres always stuff to dodge or mechanics to do. The buff is that since they diminished the cast time but the number of shots are the same, the boost is on the damage per second. The dmg per bullet its the same yes, but you cast faster. But thanks for the input. But again, its very hard to be able to do a perfect rotation every single time.
