I had forgotten than Desmond let Mikhail go in this episode. When you take a later episode into account, it goes to show that everything Desmond does is in service to the end result, which I didn't realise until seeing this again.

I didn't realize it would be this hard watching this knowing more about certain story lines in the show than the people reacting to it

They're so cheap though. It's easy to have twists and turns in a TV show. The hard part is tying it all together so it makes sense. And Lost doesn't even come close to doing that. There are so many problems with this show

I think Nikki was processing it and was headed towards that mindfuck but it seemed like Rana steered her to a different interpretation. And then Suraj stepped in and changed the subject so that mindfuck didn't take and she wound up getting caught up discussing Rana's version of events.

I was just thinking this before I saw your comment because I binge watched Lost a couple of years ago and knew that it was a mystical show, so I was mind fucked thinking that they were all actually dead, perhaps in a state of limbo on this island, in some sort of alternate reality shit, or something along those lines.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!! @@suavey. Well, the part I'm referring to here is Naomi saying that the plane was found...which obviously it couldn't have been because it crashed on the island. Regarding the overall storyline, I think it is open to interpretation in many ways. A lot of people who didn't understand the ending assume that they were dead the whole time, which they definitely weren't. Everything that happened on the island really happened. As Christian told Jack at the end, some died before him, and some long after him. The church that they met up in existed in a place outside of time, so it wasn't at any specific point IN time. The connections they made with each other on (and off) the island were so strong that they "agreed" to meet up to move on to whatever comes next together. There's a lot which kind of gets left open and unanswered but (for me) that's almost the beauty of the series. The people on the island were constantly searching for answers and they never really came. Ultimately, the most important thing was their journey and their interactions along the way. The answers weren't actually important. I think that applied to us as viewers just as much. I was definitely one of those people that played all the ARGs along the way and scoured every site I could find trying to unearth clues...but at the end of it, when there was a lot left unanswered (though many parts were answered), it didn't matter. The show was about the characters, not the mysteries. I can understand how that could be frustrating to some people but I think those people took the wrong thing away from it all. Sometimes in life there are no answers, just try to enjoy the ride. I'm probably not doing a great job at conveying this properly and, again, this is only my interpretation, but I hope it's helped explain things a little. In my opinion, LOST is the greatest TV show ever and nothing could ever recapture that. That's actually the reason I started watching these reactions. I've watched the series about six times, and also watched Chronologically LOST twice (every scene of the entire series re-edited into chronological order) and as much as I've enjoyed it each time, I can never again have that sense of wonder that I felt the first time...so the next best thing is watching somebody else experience it.

Juliet wasn't lying about the pregnancy issue on the island. Her past solo episodes, along with Ethan's obsession with Claire pretty much confirms this.

This episode really made me hate Sun. It was her fault that Jin ended up doing her father's dirty work and even knowing all this, she still cheated on him. I get that she says it was a mistake, but she spent months planning to leave him and then continued lying to him on the island. Cheating is one thing, but continuous betrayal is another.

OMG my heart just broke for Jins Dad such a great father💔💔❤️

I'm telling you, if there's ever an Indy Pop Con that Jorge Garcia appears at, you've gotta take Nikki along and film her the moment she meets him at the autograph table. I'll bet she gets reduced to a blubbering, crying mess who security will need to pry off of Jorge when she hugs him.

I’ve been looking forward to this reaction for sooooo long and they goddamn didn’t even get the “wait, are they all dead?!” moment 😂😂 Although in fairness, I think being involved in the fandom at the time when there were all the theories about it being purgatory probably played a big part in reaching that conclusion. When Locke’s dad starts talking about if they’re in hell I’m sure they’ll think back to this and connect the dots. (Not worried about spoilers because I know these are delayed)

It’s Sun’s fault that Jin had to do her father’s dirty work. Had she told him the truth and not secretly kept the money to give to his mother then he wouldn’t have had to start delivering “messages”. Ridiculous how she justified her cheating for something she caused

So since you guys are way towards season 6 in reality, I can say this... the reason why Charles Widmore (Spoilers for those who haven't seen past this episode) put the plane on the bottom of the ocean can be explained by 2 theories: Either he wanted no one to find the island because he thought it was his, or he wanted to think they were dead because they would have been better on the island since they were chosen by Jacob.
