Losi Ten SCBE Final Thoughts Review

So the time has come to share our final thoughts on the Losi Ten SCBE. This is a proven platform by Losi and it has been a ton of fun to drive. We have taken this on dirt, grass and gravel. We driven it on 2S and 3S. It's just a joy to drive. Please enjoy the review.

    What brand of battery are you running? I'm running lectron pro 3s 5200mah 50c but it fits way too loose.

    charles blanchard I've been using these no name 3s hard case packs I got with my Redcat Chimera. I have that battery but never ran it in this RC. Have you tried a foam spacer under the battery to prevent it from sliding around?

    Can you convert the SCTE into the SCBE? The chassis is pretty similar from what I've seen.

    @Dat Boy Totally can. Chassis is the same but I'm not sure on the a-arms and shock towers.

    Do you think it is possible to buy the new Losi Ten SCTE 3.0 kit, and mount the cage of this STBE if buying it apart?

  • @ReadySetRC

    @ReadySetRC

    Carlos Perez Totally possible. The Losi Ten SCBE is based off the same platform. You may need to make some adjustments to the body mounts and nerf bars on the SCTE to get the buggy body to fit but it will work.

    @@ReadySetRC Thanks! ...I wanted to buy the TLR TEN SCTE 3.0 but I don't like the body because it doesn't covers the electronics, so I decided for the Losi Baja Rey which has a great cage. But I still want to get the TLR and assemble it with my son, and thenI will install this SCBE cage that I like so much. Thank you again.

    Rc Basher Boi Thank you brother. No issue with the tie rods. I've heard people having this problem but I have not. Is it the backing off issue?

  • @RcBasherBoi

    Ready Set RC : If you hit the scbe sideways right on the tire, the tie rod ends will give out. They break, I guess the plastic ends is not as durable as they should be. The toe and camber angles will go off if you hit those tires sideways or head on. I replaced mine with traxxas tie rods. And problem fixed.

    Liked yours and bulletproofs review on this vehicle out of all I've watched. How's yours holding up?About to order mine, is there any parts I should order with it right off the bat? How has the spur held up? What's the highest C rated battery you've ran stock? What's the best Mah and C combo for these vehicle? Do you have a fan on your motor?(if not, which motor fan would you recommend) an thoughts on running it on 4s(not for speed runs, general bashing), I know you would have to drop a different motor(

    Andrew Sexton Thanks for watching! I've not made any upgrades to mine. It's still box stock. Only break was a rod end due to a hard hit into my ramp. I only run mine on 2S and 3S. Highest C rating was 50C. The motor gets a little hot but I gear down when I run on 3S. 2S no issues on heat. I have not experience turnbuckles popping off but some of my viewers have expressed this to me. I have a fellow KZreadr that I talk to about this kit, Galthain. He's commented on this video. Check out his videos. He runs his on 6S, yes 6S. For me the servo can be a little slow when I run it on 3S but it's not terrible. Hope that helps.

    Ready Set RC Thanks, an yea craziness, I've seen a 6s video...but he was just streaking on pavement. I'll be running on dirt/gravel roads, grass, sand....but the speed in the video I watched was impressive with the 6s. I just always like to get the most out of the esc that it comes with...an it's rated for 4s. Plus I bet it'd be nasty on a loose surface with 4s (yet to see a video of that on the web) if you could keep the temp down...the stock motor isn't, but I can play around with that after the fact. What do you mean gear down? I would assume the spur...like a 39t? An if I didn't want to do that could a motor fan not be just as effective?

  • @ReadySetRC

    @ReadySetRC

    Andrew Sexton It's actually 2S-3S max with stock electronics. With 2S the stock gearing is ok (16T) pinion. With 3S, you need to gear down to 14T pinion. Otherwise the electronics can go thermal.

    Ready Set RC I know he is just streaking it. But I would want to bet with that 2650kv motor a fan setup on motor and esc with a 4s battery....it'd be insane in the membrane..of course your looking at risking blowin up the diffs but...I'd almost say it'd be worth it..

    yenny527 Yes they are waterproof too and the chassis is metal. If you can still find the SCBE I would suggest this one.

    Ready Set RC thanks for the info, I’ve been eyeing this for about a month but there are so few reviews/videos. Would you say it’s “better” then the Mini 8ight T or the same?

  • @ReadySetRC

    @ReadySetRC

    6 жыл бұрын

    bradleungphoto I've never owned the mini 8ight-T but it is the same wheelbase as the mini 8ight-T but it is narrower than it. I was not a fan of the radio and receiver, range was not great and it kept cutting out. The wheels would cause the kit to do this bounce around effect, change to the Anaconda's and issue gone. If you've owned the Mini 8ight, it feels like that but more stable. Hope that helps.

    I heard that the motor gets really hot. Is that true?

  • @ReadySetRC

    @ReadySetRC

    6 жыл бұрын

    Arron Davis The motor does get warm but if you are going to run 3S you must gear down. Most people do not gear down and just run the kit on 3S with the stock gearing and that is when you have heat issues. Hope that helps.
