There is a hidden gem in your lower leg and I am talking about the solus muscle. It’s under the gastrocnemius, the more visible calf muscle. The soleus is responsible for pointing your toes down, pumping blood back to your heart, and stabilizing your ankle and knee.
The soleus is often overlooked in training, but it’s vital for your blood sugar regulation, metabolism and fat loss. A strong and flexible soleus can improve your balance, endurance, speed, and power. It can also prevent injuries, such as Achilles tendonitis, shin splints, and calf strains.

Metabolism & ideal weight
I also have a genetic tendency to DVTs in the lower leg so I am guessing that this would probably help with that also, especially when flying long distances.
