The chemistry among Jokic, Murray, and Gordon is just INSANE. The Joker is great with his fundamentals and has a great vision, Murray can take a lot o shots and is a reliable option to go to for clutch shots, and Gordon is phenomenal in putbacks, rebounds, and deffending ANYBODY... (lol yes, I’m weird). It’s okay, Spurs came back in 2014 😊 I loved Spurs but cheered for LeBron wherever he went, super loyal fan. Now I hate LeBron because he’s so annoying and political. Gordon and Porter Jr have improved a lot this season, especially Gordon. The chemistry and ball movement is ridiculously good. The Lakers will play for pride and try to take one game from this series and while they're capable of it, I'm not surprised at all if Denver manages a consecutive sweep. I'm going to say the Lakers will get that one win but who knows lol. I'm eagerly waiting for a Celtics-Nuggets final. Can't wait!

Jokic sets the best screens. He reads every double double that’s thrown at him. He finds the right guy every time. He passed the ball right into the perfect spot for his guys every time. His full court outlet passes are nearly perfect every time. It’s scary because when he’s not scoring, is when he really is at his best. Just an unstoppable force. The chess master.

What truly upsets me is that in 2020 the Lakers dominated this exact Nuggets team, minus KCP. That team was immediately disbanded. Dwight Howard and Javale McGee had Jokic in Trafalgar Law shambles while Murray was playing out of his mind. The defense of Dwight Howard gave Jokic tremendous trouble, due to Howard’s will to make the statement in his defensive role. No parade. Alex Caruso was replaced with a kid named Austin Reeves. The Laker bigs (Dwight, JaVale, and Boogie Cousins) were sent to basketball obscurity, and were replaced by an injury prone bench. Playoff Rondo was replaced with an original draft pick that didn’t work out the first time around as a Laker. The next 3 Finals were Suns v Bucks(‘21), Warriors v Celtics(‘22), Nuggets v Heat(‘23). I’m not upset and the greatest getting old. I’m not upset at Jordan fans taking shots in a loss. What pisses me off is that since 2017 it appears “the fix is in” on Lebron James. When Lebron left Miami and returned to Cleveland the “old” narrative began. Despite that, Lebron still remained a Finals contender and won in 2016, with no signs of slowing down. After which the Warriors and KD agreed to a deal that would have been vetoed by the previous regime due to viewership interest and competition. Despite the greatness of 2018 Lebron, the Warriors plus a healthy KD was unmatched. Lebron takes his talents to LA. I’ll save the “it don’t feel like LA really fw Bron” for another comment section. I will say this though - Lebron got to LA and almost immediately won his 4th ring. Kobe is at 5, Jordan is at 6. Does LA’s front office truly want to help Kobe’s rival achieve his 5th and 6th rings? For those that have made it this far in the read, I appreciate it. Please excuse the mental gymnastics. These arent excuses about the loss to Denver. This is my own thinking for why in one situation the NBA was allowed to become unwatchable for 3 seasons after the KD deal, and in the other situation a team purposely shot themselves in the foot immediately after their championship season. Does that 2020 team and/or similar pieces beat the unchampioned Bucks, Celtics, and Heat in the succeeding 3 NBA Finals. WITHOUT QUESTION, yes. But that would mean Lebron would be in a conversation all his own with 40k points and 5-8 rings. I’m not sure if an office of Kobe fans or a League of Jordan fans would sit back and just watch Lebron ascend past their childhood heroes and money makers. “Womp, womp”, “6-0” “Jordan only got swept when he was in his youth.” Yea, yea. Valid. I just wanted the reader of this comment to entertain the idea of Lebron’s ring count if the Warriors run it back straight up, and if LA truly appreciated him. LA loves ambassador of basketball Lebron. I’m not sure the LA front office truly is of the liking of Tom Brady Lebron. Tom Bron still has championship aspirations in basically enemy territory. You don’t have to be a fan of him. But a true fan of the game can see its dealings being made behind the scenes that usurp the purity of competition. “Bro is obviously a Bron fan.” I mean, yea. This is a fact. And the fact that potentially Lebron’s last championship team wasn’t even allowed to defend their championship will never sit right with me. Idk which is crazier….a 73-9 team calling Kevin Durant for help, or a front office and franchise doing away with being brought back to life by immediately getting rid of all but 2 players from their championship team immediately after their championship. On a team with a Kobe(5) office in a league of Jordan(6) fanatics. I’m afraid “the fix is in” on Lebron James(4). Thank you, reader.

@@MiguelSosa-oo6ww Aaron Gordon is the equivalent to Andrew Wiggins in this situation. A solid player in need of a system fit for him. AG wasn’t the superstar the Orlando Magic tried to market him as. He’s a high caliber role player like Wiggins when he replaced Barnes for the Warriors. And being honest, no. They haven’t gotten better. From their system to their players, Denver is like doing the same thing plus KCP and AG. Denver is performing well in this gambling era of budding superstars. The Lakers dismembered the team that went 4-2 against the Nuggets, and literally haven’t won since. Providing information to the basketball heads reading this, look at Joker’s matchups against other big bodies or his Euro contemporaries. More specifically, look at games against Sabonis and Sengun. Jokic struggles with bigger bodies that can either offensively or defensively go back at him. Since 2020 Joker is still a right handed assassin, and Dwight Howard has used his time to get into “the best shape of his life.” Do I believe today’s Jokic would struggle against a big body that is in better shape than his 2020 self…yes. In his last season with them, he had 13 pts or so. He is a great 3rd/4th option on offense, he hustles so hard. Right spot.

One of the most interesting games especially in terms of the statistics. If we start from the end of the first quarter, LAL had almost all numbers on their side yet rebounds were kind of equal. At the same point of time, DEN took more shots that worsen their efficiancy ratio consequently. As the game moved on, numbers changed in favour of DEN. At the end of the game, both teams made the same number of shots. The only two measures made the difference, DEN had 30% more rebounds (that had some impact on number of fouls) and the both number and efficiency from the free throw line. In that category DEN had +7 which was the exact same of points DEN outscored LAL. So the conclusion could be the final score was the result of higher number of rebounds (both offesnive and defensive) and the efficiency of free throws. Another conclusion could be that LAL have had up to three players on that high level whereas DEN have had between four and seven. That has made a huge difference too thus far. The level of confidence presented through the pace of the offensive part of the game gives another huge reason to believe that DEN could make all the way and defend the title. If analyze the number of minutes each player spent on the floor and rotations made by the DEN coatch, congrats and salute Mike Malone would be right. Watching such games on three different screens observing game, team statistics and individual statistics provides in-depth NBA play-off experience. Another proof that small things can make a significant difference at the end.

Lebron’s championship ring with Wade in MIAMI supposed to be 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, etc.
