Make up or not. There's a HUGE DIFFERENCE. make up doesn't cover up "dimensions" only skin imperfections

I had a lower blepharoplasty, I simply hate the results 😢 The skin under my lashes became dark, the waterline is hanging a bit, which looks weird, and I have hollowness under my eyes which I had never had before, I was not a candidate for a lower eyelid surgery, I went for a Botox injection and the surgeon, insisted that a blepharoplasty upper and lower was all I needed, he insisted so much every time I went for a Botox injection that I ended up doing it, I wish I had never listened to him. He did not do any fat transfer, my eyes look so different. I have such a different expression, I am not myself anymore. I just don’t like to look in the mirror, because all I wanna do is cry.

Sorry to hear this. Blepharoplasty like any procedure needs to be done correctly and patient selects is really important. You should reach out to your surgeon for guidance. Sometimes it takes 6 to 12 months for things to settle. Hope this helps.

​@@oculoplasticsurgery She is 100 percent correct. I am also suffering from same situation. I had have festoon/Malar begs and plastic surgeon suggested and performed my lower eyelid blepharoplasty but I don't get desired results even its 2 years post. Now I also have darkness under eyes lashes, hollowness under the eyes and dropy fat cheeks with malar begs.... I wish I could come to you but unfortunately I m thousands miles away from you MASTER.....

Can blepharoplasty make your eyes narrower or change the canthal tilt drastically?

Dr Parsa, Just to clarify: Are you removing the fat pads in these cases or repositioning them (and doing fat transfer in addition)? I assume it is the latter, but I have recently learned a number of surgeons are excising the fat pads and then restoring volume by way of fat transfer.

Beautiful results! Me next pls! Is there any benefit to waiting for this surgery? Or will the results last if I get it done now at age 31?

Hi, adding more fat to eye bags is not a long-term solution.

The results are great. Now, I don’t get why are practitioners are charging so much for this procedure when they use the patient’s fat and it is injected, not like a facelift or implant. I’ve come across doctors charging $6K as minimum.

This isn't the flea market where you can bargain for the price that you like. You get what you pay for and if you don't agree with a surgeon's price, you are more than free to search somewhere else.

Nice! After how many weeks can a person go back to work without anyone noticing the procedure done? ( visible swelling/redness/scars?)

Most people go back to work after a few weeks. Final results take around 3 months.

Pay cash. I say save for years. Put money away as if it is a car payment. Or if you are young enough to recover borrow from your retirement or your whole life policy. But you shouldn't get lower blepharoplasty on a budget. It's just not worth it. Keep your bags until you can save enough to pay cash.
