So why is she allowed to have a trial that is only audio. When so many others are plastered for the public to view and scrutinize?? She killed her children and there are multiple homicides or undetermined deaths linked to this case. I remember living in Utah when they were looking for the kids. It is just a terribly sad story. God Bless Grandma for wondering about JJ and his sister. The Lori and Chad need to spend the rest of their lives in segregation. They don't deserve anything after what they did.

I listened to zeluma's testimony again and for first time heard her speak about lori going off after a phone call, the day someone shot at Tammy. She said Lori was irate after the phone call and said, "He can't do anything right" I'm wondering....do you think Alex had a moment where he knew how bad what he was doing was? The same thing happened with Brandon. Alex was supposedly a good shot. Zulema said he told her they were using him as their fall guy. I hate that the families won't get to see Alex face justice. Had he lived we might know a little more than we do now.

One thing I have to commend both sides for, but specifically the defense team is how polite they are ...no shouting and Mr Thomas always says “Thank you” and/or , “that was helpful”, “thank you for clarifying that”, “I am no longer confused and I appreciate your patience with me”. The reason I notice the manners of this defense team is that it’s so much nicer to listen to the soft spoken tones of these two “Gentlemen “, as opposed to my irritation after having to listen to Chad’s Attorney🙀, Mr Prior, who can be extremely obnoxious and rude to witnesses and the other team, even to the judge ! He immediately turns me off, and I end up counting his ridiculous objections, and number of times he is blatantly rude both within and outside of his Whitney rants as he raves and carries on, repeating his often idiotic points multiple times, over and over and over and over ...until the Judge finally says something ...I have typified him as being surly and rude to have the world see him as completely “put upon” and taken advantage of by the prosecution and forced to represent Chad . I find his disgusting behavior completely unprofessional! So far, Mr Thomas and Mr Archibald are a breath of Fresh air! Realizing that they are not in a position of power, they still manage to actually present themselves Professionally, and with dignity.

I totally 💯 percent agree with your view on Chads( paid) attorney while Lori was given a court appointed legal team.Hence Mr. Priors rants and absolutely absurd objections leaving no room for simple everyday manners when it comes to his peers.Since the beginning of all of this most cruel treatment to Tylee Ryan and sweet J.j. Lori isn't "Crazy" nor is she a brain washed cult member.But instead an evil excuse of a human being,Why? Couldn't she just go off to lala land with in her eyes only "Prince Charming" but then again how could Lori get back at Kaye & Larry for the switch of beneficiary of Charles Vallows life insurance? That shed thought she'd secured by going down to Houston and having (sex) with Charles in turn have him rent her the house he was savagely killed in.When it comes to Lori I get the feeling it's "HER" way or No way at all! Chad separated himself from her trial A.SA.P. I have thought the same thing. I just wonder if she has laid in her jail cell and acknowledged what has happened.? There's no way that she can be in there and not know all of the wrong that she has done or been a part of. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't try and pull incompetent to start trial after yesterday's testimony when she ask to be excused from the court room. Nothing would surprise me with her

That's largely because she's not able to get her regular botox injections. A little botox makes a big difference on a face of her age, but I have no doubt she's aged more just from the stress of being caught and in jail.

My granddaughter and I have a very very strong bond. I would gladly raise her if God forbid her parents can't or won't. No questions asked... anytime..any day....

Yet that difficult existence in a cell is STILL better than the existence those two young people no longer have. Even better than the final existence of their remains...found amongst the ashes of a fire pit. It is UNIMAGINABLE what horrors we humans find the ability to inflict upon our fellow humans and most especially our loved ones.

The defense has begun to be irritating.

One of my pet peeves is when the Judge is talked to in a disrespectful manner, and not called Your Honor. Both sides have slipped and called him “Judge”, however, it’s not coming across as disrespectful as when Mr Prior calls him “Judge”. It’s the snarling tone and the lack of manners of Pryor that has made me notice how rude And unprofessional he appears to me.

The Law enforcement involved in this case will never get over this either. Or the people covering this case will NEVER be the same either. NIGHTMARE CITY forever!! For all involved!! I don't go to church but I have a saying that goes" I would rather be on top of a mountain thinking about God than be sitting in a church thinking about the mountains.

If you are familiar with the judge you may call the judge "judge" or "your honor". either one is equally respectful. Whether in person in court or any other time. It depends on whether or not you are familiar with that particular judge.

@@deadmanswife3625 basically it’s the Intonations accompanied with “Judge...” When an attorney speaks to the judge, anger or a tone of contempt is much more readily and easily masked by using the words, “‘Your Honor” as that title Implies....Whereas using the word “Judge”, does not show or impart the respect that is indicated by using a title like a first name. It doesn’t apply a respectful distance , nor does it mask the tones associated with annoyances, anger, etc. The defense attorney Mr Pryor in the Daybell case is Notorious for his use of “Judge” with his mocking intonations and anger. It has Not gained him any public accolades. But many attorneys continue this shortcut practice without considering the ramifications. I seriously doubt that those who’ve chosen to continue Shortcutting will never see the title of Judge after their name.

I don't understand why there isn't video coverage of this trial. Lori should have to endure being seen by the public as this trial is conducted. She has left a path of destruction for a long time. I hope that the authorities are investigating way back on people in her life who died - especially where there were questionable or unusual circumstances. Evil woman. Chad Daybell is an evil man. Prayers for the family members who were deceived and are living this nightmare. Justice prevail.

Her case is so awful, the defense sounds almost like the prosecution.

Some weirdo who looks like “family guy” or even the most handsome man in the whole world!!!!! could NEVER convince me that my innocent babies were zombies… never. She may have been mis-lead by Peter Griffin but…. Not a soul in the world could ever sway my opinion on my babies. She wanted a new life free of obligation of caring for my innocent babies, and she is the sickest of them all for allowing this!!!!

This is so sick. Can't even imagine just how traumatized these people must be over discovering the bodies of poor JJ and Tylee. I fell asleep to these trial videos last night and had a dream that they were found alive but older. It was probably the best dream I've ever had. :/

We have to pay both sides of these cases, it sounds like the defense is doing everything it can to get every dollar it can out of the taxpayers

I feel that Lori spending life in prison is the justice for what she has done. If he did or didn't is beside the point to me, he was definitely seen as a burden to Lori and therefore disposable. But why Tylee??? You are much better at this than I Nick but the only answer I can deduce is that Tylee was the only witness to what actually transpired between Lori, Alex and Charles. Had Tylee had enough and mentioned/threatened to expose her mother and uncle? I just don't buy that she was killed because she didn't want to babysit. Please excuse my punctuation errors. This judge is in charge of his courtroom, and both sides' lawyers are professional and respectful (to date), The female lawyer for the state is brilliant, so steady, and empathetic.

This sort of thing is exactly why I think there must not be any gods. We all know those children prayed for Jesus to save them. We know the people who loved them prayed for Jesus to keep them safe. Their final moments were terror and pain, and it's just too difficult for some people to accept that those were truly the last things those children experienced. Somehow, this must all be part of a divine plan, right? I don't buy that for a second. There's just the here and now, and when lives are ended this way, they are just followed by police detectives and weeping relatives hoping that the worst has not happened. But it did. And it happens all the time.

Objections can be made at any time for any reason. They could object to every question if they wanted. Whether the objection is granted is a different story. But they absolutely have the right to object. I can't even imagine why you would be opposed to that?

This case is one of the worst ever. My heart breaks for Tylee. She was old enough to fully understand the horror of what her own mother was doing to her. I feel very close to her for some reason. 😢 She was just beginning to blossom. 17 is such a great age.

I wonder if they suffocated her in a garbage bag after they drugged her and then brought her by the burial pit at night and then Alex shot her with the silencer and then they had all the blood there in that dirt which I don't know if they could tell how much blood was in the dirt after they mixed all the mortar and everything else they did and it plus burning?
