LoreWarrior Aerotech - Warship weapons and technology

Ойындар

A focus on the big guns of the aerotech side of Battletechs universe. I was surprised to find these images to be honest. Pity they never made any art for the missiles and laser cannons however.

    I love the Clan Warship Cutaway Picture. I'm drawn to it for some reason. The lore...the detail...The Sheer brilliance of The Ship

    There are lots of ships as well. Check out TRO 3057 dropships, jumpships and warships. Also look at TRO 2750 for the original star leaguer era vessels.

    Cool video CR. I've enjoyed all of your Battletech lore vids. Keep up the good work. You should do a video about Clan society,; like the caste system (especially the bandit caste) and other elements of clan life that are the same for all clans.

    Certainly something to look at going forward. I do plan on a Klondike series showing off the clans first unified attempt at combat. The society stuff could be part of that.

    Can you imagine if they made a space Battletech Game. Where you fly and command giant warships or any ship you wanted? Not like eve. But like in first person kinda how mwo is but instead your in a warship

    Oh that would be great. I would love to see something similar to the Battlestar Galatica game (deadlock?) currently on steam. Lots of pausing and tactical decision making combined with cinematic camera replays after the battle.

    Very nice, but when will we get Jihad era lore? ( I come from the mechassault side of the fandom) Also lets say a grizzled and experienced true born found out one of the younger warriors placed in their command was created from one of the warriors created from him. Would he take that warrior under his wing?

  • @CriticalRocket

    Well in that regard I probably won't be touching the Jihad ever really. It represents the worst period of Battletech. However if I somehow reach the end of all content worth showing in the Star league, Succession Wars, Clan invasion, Golden era, Fedcom Civil War and other minor events, then maybe I would do something around the jihad. As for the clan question. No they wouldn't pay any special attention to that warrior. Another thing to bear in mind is that past a certain age many trueborn clan warriors are considered too old and weak to continue as a frontline MechWarrior. They get relegated to rear line units as garrison troops. Many of these older warriors will attempt to prove themselves again in Solahma units, fighting near suicidal battles to show their prowess. A very small number achieve this goal and get back into rotation. Most die in the attempt.

    @@CriticalRocket Ooooooh boy if you think the Jihad is bad writing wait until you read about the Dark Age/Republic of the Sphere/Ilclan stuff coming out today. Pure, utter trash.

    So, did the IS regain the lostech with the Helm memory core, or did they have to buy it from Clan Diamond Shark? I can't see the IS beating the Clan warships if they didn't have any equivalent vessels any more.

    The recovery of the core by Gray death allowed the great houses to once again being production of many long lost technologies. This happened decades before the clans attack so they had time to bring in new variants of existing 'mechs, entirely new designs and begin rebuilding the virtually non existent navies of the star league glory days. Had the Inner Sphere not had even this minor tech upgrade, they would have lost far more territory to the clans.

    Could you make video about smaller transport ships what could take only four light mech or vehicles ? Because this what probably Battletech need in new DLC ... A smaller craft with limited tonnage for smaller lance .

  • @SQW0

    @SQW0

    If HBS can refine their tactical mechanic to make multiple lances viable, they might as well just use another Leopard or two. What's the point of doing all the work and then limit themselves to only extra light mechs/vees?

  • @CriticalRocket

    @CriticalRocket

    The Leopard is pretty much the smallest transport vessel capable of moving a single lance of battlemechs. Even the clans use it despite their tech advantage.

    So in that case maybe it should be just additional pilot NPC & new expansion . From the one side I wish not make to easier from other I am so sure that one or two lances of mechs or vehicle squa could make that game more fine .

    What was the ranges of these naval grade weapons?

  • @CriticalRocket

    @CriticalRocket

    Off the top of my head I have no idea but given the Aerotech game used space battles with the same hex system which going by one older thread suggested a single hex would be 1km. So whatever the listed range is in hexes would be a very rough guide for that.
