She tends to sing sharp. Most go flat. Intriguing. There was definitely no auto tune on this. Her vibrato is powerful on higher notes and that's where she shines. It wasn't bad. I couldn't do it. Loren you have permission to be an artist of your own. Fly be free

but whitney made it a hit. dolly came out with it....and the seaaon turned. whitney sang it and they played whitney's pictures...bc NO one..no one...as even dolly said "no one touches whitney..not even me" on that song. it was a beautiful sentiment. and there will NEVER be another dolly. i love her soo much , for the record #TravelinThru

Hmmmmm. I don't think this was her best performance. She is a phenomenal singer and for the life of me I have been trying to figure out why she hasn't caught a break yet. I think it's because she doesn't quite know her style! I truly believe her style is more old school. Like how Never enough is. That is why it was a hit. I think if she stays singing songs kinda like that and putting a lil twist on them it may be a different story.

It is because this Song Is Always in and out from chest/mix voice to falsetto, and the only Little lack She has in her voice Is with this kind of transition. The abduction of vocal chords in this kind of register Is not Always complete ( don' t know if for a Little nodule, or for congenital reasons or other motivations ) so She has to force the muscles to obtain a good sound but you can feel It Is not smooth like the rest of her voice. In all the other songs She usually Sings there Is no this kind of continuous in and out from theese two very different phisical mechanism, and her voice sounds Simply perfect

You can tell that this live audio recording is not that good, from the mics they were using. I could hear that even before she started singing, from the lack of clarity in the mans speaking voice and the lack of clarity from the orchestra. It almost sounded like someone was recording this on their phone and the mic was not close enough to the orchestra and performer. You can't in all fairness compare this with her other recordings since the audio recording is so poor here. However, I still thought she did a wonderful job!
