She is indeed a treasure, but it should be remembered that she also re-records very old songs that she has not written, and that she surrounds herself with some of the finest musicians of our time. She will be the first to point out that these people deserve just as much praise as she herself receives. So glory for Loreena indeed, but glory also for all of the others with whom she works.

summer of 2023 and I was reintroduced to her angelic voice on a video from Faerie Magazine of all things! I'd forgotten how beautiful her voice & lyrics are and the masterful way she fuses the Celtic and middle eastern sound. The older I get, the more swept away and transported I am by this ethereal music.🌛✨🌜

Such a beautiful voice. Her songs are so angelic and magical.

In a little hole-in-the-wall "New Age" shop in Capitola, California, Summer of 1994, I was instantly mesmerized by the music playing in the background. The song was All Soul's Night, and at 15 years old, I wanted to hear more. I _had_ to hear more. That voice, that angelic power, reached me to my very core. So I asked the Shopkeep who the singer was, and if they had any of her music in stock. They pointed me to a stack of cassettes, I bought the first one I touched, and I asked my parents to play it on the 2 hour car ride home. And that was when I became a fan of Loreena McKennitt. Probably not a lot of 15 year old boys find themselves thoroughly enjoying this particular genre of music, but I never let genre, trends, or anything else dictate my taste in music. If something truly speaks to me, I listen. Loreena's music got me through a lot of teenage angst, a lot of unrequited love, a lot of heartache. Somehow her voice strengthened my hope and resolve, even at my darkest moments. I am eternally grateful. Twenty-nine years (and several albums) later, and I am still a big fan. Every time I listen to The Visit, I feel like I'm 15 again, listening to each song for the very first time. It's like a favorite painting, enjoying it over and again, and no matter how many times I look at it, I still manage to discover some new detail that I missed the last time. Loreena's music is timeless: if I had just now discovered The Visit, knowing nothing else about the album, I would honestly think that it had just recently been recorded and released. It was released 32 years ago!

I love the long version. I am a vet, I have a bit of PTSD. This song comforts me when I feel the violence and fear rise. God bless all of us.

I always believed that genre and country division in music was only in human mind and not in the real essence of life! I love writting and singing music from different cultures , countries and centuries my self mixing it together freely as it comes to me through inspiration. So i am very proud to see artists and women like her in the world! it gives me hope that i am not alone here and there are many people in smae or similar journeys . i wish all creative and strong women would support and take stregnth from each other in the world. She has the voice of an angel. I become so absorbed into the lyrics and beauty of her enchanted voice. Each song is a mesmerizing experience. The first time I heard "The Mummer's Dance", I immediately bought the Book of Secrets CD, and played that song over and over and over again. I could never grow complacent listening to that song ...or any other song she sings. I only recently stumbled upon her videos on KZread....I am so very, very glad I did. ❤️

I was able to see her live in Vancouver and it was the best concert i have been to. The way her voice resonated throughout the theatre...still gives me goosebumps.

I live in Vancouver Canada and the last time she toured here was 9 years ago compared to her Ontario where she will be doing 2 dates this month. Highly recommend seeing her if you have the opportunity :)

Saw her when she came and performed at the small but wonderful Jubilee Theatre in Calgary, AB. Phenomenal experience!

It's been 14 yr for this masterpiece but unfortunately I'm listening this now in 2023 ,,,,,but it's ok ,,, atleast i got this beautiful song😅 , Thanks to Loreena.

I have loved Loreena Mckennit ever since my dad brought home a cd from Ireland when I was 10. I am 32 now.

Magnífica como ella no habrá otra. Simplemente fenomenal , su sensibilidad su carisma todo simplemente. De lo que no hay. Gracias por tus canciones y tu presencia!

I'm totally new to Ms. McKennitt, and her music is mesmerizing. This song just grabs hold. An amazing talent. Through her angelic voice I see the making of a better world. Cool to see someone reach such heights in living a life that is self made. Congratulations in the physical plane.
