Very interesting history here. Thank you.
Thank you for a wonderful informative documentary
Loved this lecture! So interesting! We are so looking forward to visiting Highclere, God willing, in April.
I have the book To Marry An English Lord, but the cover is different. Some of the etiquette of that time is rather amusing. I still read it from time to time. The difference between upper class society in America and Britain is like apples and oranges
According to the current Earl, the 5th Earl loved cars which were just beginning to be manufactured. He shipped a car to the UK and had a very bad car accident which broke many bones. His doctor recommended a dry climate which is how he found himself later in Egypt.

The Brits have long long way to learn from the French re interior decoration. This place looks like an immense church from inside.
Where can I get a copy of that "defeatist" poster?
LOL.. He thought Downton Abbey was done in 2020.
Did they give the mummy back to Egypt?
How many children did she have Almeania
The reason I ask this question is the lady has three girls.
So... This is a misleading video. It's almost all about a Downton Abbey fan boy, not Highclere. Get to the real history.
