@@UltimateBucketList It was possibly the most unique curio in the museum, save for the cup that really does belong to the Indian cricket team. Weird and odd curios are my jam, my dude.
Lord's Cricket Ground, the "Home of Cricket," is a stunning blend of historical grandeur and modern elegance. Located in St John's Wood, London, its meticulously maintained pitch and iconic Victorian Pavilion exude tradition and reverence. The lush outfield and contemporary Media Centre create a striking visual contrast, symbolizing the union of past and present.

Old Trafford CG don't do an official tour, but I've been going to that place for years and I have a friend who works there. I think (without too much difficulty) I could arrange a private tour of the place, but it's not much to write home about. It's the same with Deepdale, i.e. I probably wouldn't even if I could do it. I might change my mind if I get enough demand from this video, but I don't see it.

I don't know if the guide mentioned it or not but the part of the ground connected to the practice ground and the Media Centre is called the "Nursery End" and the part of ground directly opposite to it where the pavilion lies is called... well the "Pavilion End". Since ends change every over in cricket, it usually gets mentioned a lot by commentators and that's where the uniqueness of the Lord's slope comes in.
@UltimateBucketList
Жыл бұрын
Yes, I knew that but I didn't put that fact into the video. Probably should have done in hindsight. Thanks for the info.

@@ultranationalist2820 well you can never say that, I mean who won't love to conquer the largest cricketing nation and a bully in ICC meetings at their own home of cricket? Yeah now Motera stadium has been built to replace it and Eden faces a visible neglect by the BCCI (they were not given a Semifinal match even though it's the second biggest and most iconic stadium in India, until Chepauk refused to host the semifinals due to heavy rains in Chennai during that time of the year), it's still the most iconic stadium in India and it's our equivalent of the Lord's and MCG.
Did the matchday tour of Lord's when I was there in May, so sadly no Pavillion for me.
