    @@pnnorton and that's why you wouldn't get hired in any kind of law enforcement. Even if you know they guy is scum, you have to legally prove it otherwise you just fucked your case, got fired and the bad guy got away. Hence why the interpol guy couldn't just rip everything apart, you need legal grounds to conduct any kind of search, it's also the reason why it's in the the US constituion. The moment you allow searches just cus some guy "has a feeling" you open the door for tyranny. So yeah, while I think the laws are pretty fucking grey, i'd prefer grey laws rather than letting authorities a blanket right to do what the fuck they like without legal justification because "he was wearing a suit", that's your logic.

    As someone who has worked in the produce department of several grocery stores, I can confirm that rotten potatoes have a distinctly awful smell. I can't imagine the stench after they'd been baking in the Caribbean.

    I work on ships and changing the name like that won't work (or at least has very slim chances of working). The name of a ship can be found EVERYWHERE. 95% of all documents inside a ship has it's name on it. All that agent needed to do was go inside the mess hall to find a crew list plastered on the wall or demand documents from the captain.

    EaST CoAsT MaCHete Back then ships still needed callsigns, MMSI numbers, IMO numbers and most importantly, names on the stern AND the bow, along with the IMO number. The name on the stern also needs to include the port of registry. Furthermore the names on lifeboats along with the callsign and port of registry on them would need to be changed as well. I have been in a project of changing the identity of a ship, its not a 3 minute project i can assure you.

    Would it be so easy for Jack Valentine to have any know how of what Yuri is doing if Yuri would have multiple offices in various locations, like side businesses like restaurants, night clubs, grocery stores or a hotel? And would someone like Jack really search every damn container with there being so many? Yuri could easily have guns in the 2nd row containers and potatoes in the 1st row containers, and unless Jack would have a crane on his ship there's no way that he could get inside 2nd row containers due to the 1st row containers blocking the doors.

    the TOMSTER he's turning back and forth, which is why he seems out of breath in the transition shots. But yeah, it's edited where it looks like the boat is coming from astern, probably on purpose for tension

    @@jayblack5231 I think its more likely they didn't do it on purpose, but only build that part of the set, for saving the production cost. you can tell because one time right after hi looks through the binoculars, you can see the flag beside him... so he's still at the back of the boat. the shots look better that way, with what they had to film, but still its not executed brilliantly

    Yes it is. Merchant marine Third Officer here. The order of an engine telegraph goes like this. Full Navigation Full Ahead Half Ahead Slow Ahead Dead Slow Ahead STOP Dead Slow Astern Slow Astern Half Astern Full Astern It isn't exactly a specific speed, but rather an engine command. Dead slow is different from ship to ship. I've been on a ship where dead slow ahead is 3 knots and some 14 knots.

    For one man, a successful gun running operation for a few years will set you for a fairly lavish life. It's not legitimate business, but it generally is easier to wash your hands clean of it compared to drug dealing. After all, most of your clientele don't really care who you are as long as the goods arrive.

    If your a maritime authority you could easily know if the ship is not registered because not only the aft station is the thing you need to change the name but also on the both sides of the forward station and both sides in the bridge all of it would be suspicious because you could not easily change the name of the ship in the forward station because you would intently gonna fall in that sea state
