Sir, I have to say, I recently went through your channel and listened to most of your ambiences. And can I just say, this channel is genius! I used to use my Mom’s laptop to listen to a loop of ambient nature sounds and then put my favorite music over it-but this channel does that for me! 😂 So, thanks! These are gems!

And... of course... GoLd
"It began, long ago... In a land far away to the east, the like of which, you will not find in the world today. There was the city of Dale. Its markets known far and wide, full of the bounties of vine and vale, peaceful and prosperous. For this city lay before the doors of the greatest kingdom in Middle-Earth; Erebor. Stronghold of Thror, King under the mountain, mightiest of the Dwarf Lords. "Thror ruled with utter surety, never doubting his house would endure, for his line lay secure in the lives of his son, and Grandson. Aah, Frodo! Erebor. Built deep within the mountain itself, the beauty of this fortress city was legend. Its wealth lay in the earth, in precious gems hewn from rock, and great seams of gold, running like rivers through stone. The skill of the dwarf was unequal, fashioning objects of great beauty out of diamond, emerald, ruby, and sapphire. Ever they delved, deep into the dark. And that is where they found it. The heart of the mountain... the Arkenstone. Thror named it the King's jewel, he took it as a sign, a sign that his right to rule was divine. All would pay homage to him, even the Great Elven King, Thranduil. "But the years of peace and plenty, was not to last. Slowly the days turned sour, and the watchful nights closed in. Thror's love of gold had grown too fierce and sickness had to grow within him. It was a sickness of the mind. And where sickness thrives, bad things will follow..." I love being able to quote the movie without having to look up anything. Although it's probably not a very good thing hahah.

@@supremeleaderkyloren5250 Oh, you have no idea how much more epic the book version is! Read the book and you will understand how cool, cunning and intelligent Bilbo is, so much so that he deceives the dragon by exploiting his own pride against him! ;-) The film, as beautiful as it is, doesn't do the book justice even remotely!

And then Frodo was all, "Shut up Gimli, when do I get to the action scenes, like in the movies???"
I love how Erebor's music reflects on how powerful and what a treasure Erebor is. And I mean literally, it's filled with gold. But when you listen to the music there's something else - sad notes reflecting on how the Dwarfs lost their home, and unsettling tones to show the sickness that lie on the gold.

Say whatever you want about the Hobbit trilogy, but if there is something that you can't complain about Is the awesome music and the prologue; which Is marvelous.
It is amazing how one can miss a place that has never been in.

Great point. Also, does any body else get the shivers when you watch the Fellowship cross the Bridge of Khazad-dum in the movie? It's so narrow, I don't know if I could have done it even with a balrog on my tail! What is it with Dwarves and building to code? Come on people!

The music is so breath taking when I was playing it on my phone. It reminds me of Erebor, I know the soundtrack is Erebor and all that now. In the battle of the five armies, when Thorin got stabbed in the side, it brought tears to my eyes and died though. Thorin was a good dwarf in the end, a good king, a leader and a hero.

@@artsysabs totally. So the jist of it is you’ve got this band of adventures who are all gathered together to find an ancient crown that is said to have magical properties. The only problem is they’re either super inexperienced or have little motivation to complete their task. All that compared to the devil who is the Regional Manager of Shiny Things in the 4th sub quadrant of hell who needs the crown for his own nefarious reasons. Unlike the adventures he is very motivated. The whole goal of the story is to develop the adventures into driven people who can accomplish the things they need to accomplish because they have the motivation to do so.

How I wish I was born in the time the Earth was a total mystery. Having no idea what's on other side of that seemingly endless body of water. Having no idea about all the mystical creatures that await your next exploration. I think this lack of mystery and adventure might be the ruin of us all, as we turn inward into our electronic devices and drift away from one another.
