Yes! In so many ways and I’m glad you said this couse it requires some thinking to truly understand, LOTR is such a big part of who I am so can very much agree with you. I understand you didn’t ask for this but I just want to say my thoughts.

If I was Sam, I would bitchslap Frodo so hard that he would fall off the mountain. Then take the ring and spit on his corpse. And then maybe call the giant eye thingy and blackmail him...

In the book Frodo never said that to Sam, its one of the stupid Ideas that the Director/Someone decided to add, even though it wasn't in the story, or an idea of Tolkein's. LOTR is perfect if you ignore the bits with Frodo and Sam in after the fellowship of the ring, as IMHO they could have been as good as the battles or Aragorn with Legolas and Gimli

J.R.R Tolkien is 100% one of the biggest and best writers in like, ever. I grew up with Tolkien. My mother read me The Hobbit before bed when I was 4.. It' s an amazing childhood when you think of it, growing up with a tale of a good wizard and a band of great dwarfs, and a hobbit of course, venturing all over the Middle earth, inhabited by many wonderful creatures, in search of gold... I really love Tolkien and his work, he made my childhood really wonderful, I still spend hours and hours reading his work, and I'm still amazed by it. I read The Hobbit for 20 times, and LOTR even more times, along with the movies I watch every 2-3 days when I come beat up and tired from work/school, and then put on the movies that cheer me up.... Rest in peace, Tolkien, the person that made the best bed time stories a child could want.

***** I prefer books rather than a movie.. In a book.. A book is, like, a whole new world. It's awesome to imagine Rivendell or Gondor in your head.. Tho I was disappointed when in the movies, capitol of Rohan, was nothing more than a bunch of wooden shacks and a huge wooden hall, even tho there's no wood in miles around Rohan :D

***** Also from wood, but it had a nearby forest, so they got their wood from there. And It was much more than few shacks :)

Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. PIPPIN: I didn't think it would end this way. GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. PIPPIN: What? Gandalf? See what? GANDALF: White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise. PIPPIN: Well, that isn't so bad. GANDALF: No. No, it isn't.

The lord of the rings trilogy has given me the hope and courage to do well in life. The battle between good and evil shows no matter what evils is in this world, there is always something good amongst it! We must cherish our friends and and family to battle against this evil I'm a guy and I cry all the time to this trilogy, it's the only film/trilogy that has made its way into my heart, I will forever cherish this as a beautiful masterpiece and it will get me through the dark times that will come ahead :) i just wish one day I can go to New Zealand and witness the pure beauty of the landscape that was used to create these films :) Lotr will always have a place in my heart.

it was not in the trilogy, but of course Sam went into the west later, in his own right as a ring-bearer. for strange reasons nobody of the fellowship died where he lived. Pippin and Merry left the Shire to stay with Eomer and later with King Aragorn and were laid to rest besides him in Rath Dinen. Aragorn was righful heir of Gondor of course, but spent most of his life outside his realm. Most strange is that Gimli as a mortal dwarf reached the West too: Final entry in the trilogy in Appendix B ( The Tale of Years) "....Then Legolas built a grey ship in Ithilien, and sailed down Anduin and so over Sea; and with him, it is said, went Gimli the Dwarf. And when that ship passed an end was come in Middle-earth of the Fellowship of the Ring."

Music like this is why I became a composer. The thing I love most about music is that it transcends language, culture, race, politics, religion and everything else. It strips all that stuff away and leaves you with a universal language of the heart and soul that anyone from any time, age or background can understand and relate to. I may never make a lot of money from my music, but I'm going to have a darn good time doing what I love and trying to move people.

The Hobbit Trilogy and The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy has to be one of the greatest masterpiece film trilogies of all time. The extended versions of each movie is better than the theatrical releases and adds so much more external lore for hardcore fans, the characters are lovable, middle earth(new Zealand) is awesome and the music is nothing short of nothing than astounding. I'm happy that I own all 6 movies on extended edition blue ray collection sets. The books were great as well.

I like to always imagine LOTR happened on our planet... thousands of fucking years ago.... and eventually... the realm of "Men" was the last one to survive, all the shades, stuff from Mordor, other magical beings died out and got lost to time, but we survived and eventaully it resulted in the human race we know today. Honestly makes me so fucking sad imaginging that and listening to this song always.... best fantasy ever fucking made. EVER.

I am smiling so hard my face hurts and softer sometimes because it goes from happy and wonderful to sweet and sad and chills all over from some parts where the main theme starts and just... at the end... I've never heard it like that before, with that buildup... Just grinning and laughing and crying inside from happiness and I LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS.

LOTR and the soundtrack changed me forever. The movies, the drama, the love between Arwen and Aragorn, the people dying in the movies( especially the death of Boromir), everything. First movies EVER to make me cry, even tho I'm such an emotional person. Especially May it be and The Road Goes Ever On. Thanks J.R.R Tolkien for such an amazing adventure.

I say the Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of my favourite movies ever, if not my number one favourite. Not just because it fits well with the books being one novel divided into three volumes, but also because whilst each film functions wonderfully on its own, they work at their absolute best when put together. I watched all of them in one go once, and it was a movie experience unlike any other, and made their place in my heart all the more special.

Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are incomparable. Loved Star Wars all my life, the aspect of it was amazing, and the effort that went into potraying the films 30 years ago from such a massive scope of imagination is just immense, and there have been some brilliant books With Lord of the Rings, it's a different kind of connection. Extremely epic, and the constant realistic elements like companionship and the brilliant journey is unrivaled. It all touches your heart so easily. I love them both.
