@@sidraayoub8826 they are a special group of lads, no? I had the honor of meeting them before a tiny show in SF circa 2017. Such authentic men! Who they are really is the heART they create. I shared with them that night their music got me through the worst of chemo. Many more terrors have come true and I'm now in Palliative care. It's time for my curtain call and I'm grateful. Grateful for it all. Trying to live to see LH for a 4th time in October. May you be so well in this wild world! Love, Maria

Something about a distant past I cannot remember clearly what it is!.. I just feel it and its presence strongly in all walks of My life.. It's like the feeling of an existential loneliness, like this earth is not my place this world is not my end! Thank you LORD HURON!

Drops in the Lake Lord Huron I get by, but I'm tired of myself And I doubt that I ever will find someone else Lonely days fall like drops in the lake of our love I just want it to be like it was And I want you to be as you were long ago I go down to the edge of the lake Where I wait through the night for the dawn light to break Memories of yore crash like waves on the shore of my mind And I pray that the stars will align I just want us to be who we were long ago I just want what was How I yearn for the years we were young and in love I get by, but it's hard to forget In the smoke of denial and the fog of regret Dismal and dark, some like clouds in the sky of my soul And I hear thunder roll I look up at the uncaring sky With a prayer on my lips and a tear in my eye Oh, how the heart burns like fire in the light of the moon I just hope you'll be coming back soon You're my long-lost love Can we wind back the wheels to the way that it was? How is it that every album perfectly describes my feelings at that point in life? I was with my last love at the Vide Noir tour, and after 2 long years something irreparable happened, that I could never forgive, and like magic Long Lost comes out as the soundtrack of wounded catharsis Lord Huron has always provided in perfect timing and symmetry with everything I’ve gone through since 2012 when Lonesome Dreams came out. Never stop that synchronicity guys, I love you all.

One of my favourite things about this song is how the melody of the voice in the background, after the chorus and towards the end reminds me of the melody in that Wolf scene, by the end of Fantastic Mr. Fox (my favourite movie, btw).

been with these guys since Stange Trails and they keep getting better. not one of their albums sounds like a retread or stale. they weave melodies and lyrics from past songs into current ones effortlessly. finally going to get to use my tickets for their show at Red Rocks in Colorado next month. bought them in 2019......

When you find music that matches exactly how you feel. Except it stretches across albums. I hope LH is around for a long time.
