I've read some reports of people consuming diffusa, and they have hallucinogenic experiences. In atleast one report, the person compared the effects to datura or other deliriants. They all said the effects didn't feel like mescaline. I guess pellotine in high enough doses is hallucinogenic like more conventional sleep aids are at high doses.

Well I meen it is still psychoactive it has only a trace of mesculine and not enough to trip in the same way peyote makes you trip ,but it is high in the other alkaloids which are psychoactive, even if that is in a very mild way (which actually some people say it is still a strong trip just different) .. Even the natives would say outsiders would go insane from picking false peyote and they would keep the real peyote for themselves, which leads to the idea that the high levels of pellitine could make a more deleriant style of trip

I had that plant at one time in my collection but a friend stole it thinking he could get high. Not a friend anymore but sadly i can't find a replacement Lophophora.
