Anyone else feel like this was music that classy black people were into back in the day. It seems like when I attended clubs and concerts most of the people into this were classy ladies and cats were smooth well dressed brothers. I miss that so much just being around people like that.

Without question Loose Ends was one of the 80's top groups. They were in constant rotation of radio and video shows. They had a unique sound and Carl McIntosh was the driving force behind the groups grooves. Jane Eugene had a rough soulful voice that was easy on uptempo and slower songs by the group. Nichols on keyboard and harmony's added to the groups sound. There were alot of bands out of England but this group was able to really set the standard in the USA. Their sound still rocks to this day!!

Respect and Salute to "Loose Ends" forever! Thank you God for the 1980s! You know I was feeling very sad n bad today's music when I was hearing about the terrible terrible things that some of our young artists suffered under the hands of that was supposed to guide them and help manage their careers so I had to come a listen to the music from the 50's 60's 70's n the 80's and it was also some music in the 90's that made me very very proud of the artists but in the mid 90's til now our people was truly suffering with the music industry and it makes me sad that i was supporting certain labels thinking that they were for the artists but not anymore I'm praying constantly for all that suffered n hope they can move with their lives its one too many stuffers with deep deep scars that they can't seems to carry by themselves so please pray for them and let them know we definitely appreciate all they contributed to making us feel good through their music may they receive that special spiritual healings and unending peace n many blessing

this is when British soul started catching up with the level of us R&B in the public eye..but reality is British always had the Black Soul & funk, being that they had heavy Jamaican & African influence and immigration

Indeed! They influenced a lot of groups and artist that came after them. I played the cassette and album to death. Extremely underrated group!
What a noble concept.....music about innocent love. No vulgar lyrics. With a banging beat. Real music.

Unsung should profile Loose Ends. This group deserves more recognition.
This British band was a band before its time. The groove, the composition and voices were the best. Miss this kind of music.

This was one of my all time favorite up-tempo songs written by all of them( Carl McIntosh, Jane Eugene and Steve Nichol). However, unfortunately, it never rose up the US Charts at all in 1986.

1980s had some of the best R&B songs/music/jams from artists/singers/performers/producers and songwriters who sang, performed, wrote, arranged and produced songs with soul, harmony and meaning! Respect and Salute to "Loose Ends" forever! Thank you God for the 1980s! Even though there was high crime and poverty growing up in Crown heights/Flatbush/Brooklyn as a kid in the 1980s; this kind of music was the escape and sign of the times!
2019 and still sounds fresh....
One of the best to ever do the lyrics and the music was ahead it's time. They'll never be another like LOOSE ENDZ
709 people are clueless to what great r&b music sounds like.. This ONE song alone got me through 1986, I remember buying the 45 and wearing it out, it was light years sonically from Hanging On A String..

2019 59 yes old and this still gets me rocking. Loose ends a class act and timeless .
2017 still 80 N 90"s can't help it, only music for my Soul.
Thank you Duanna Brown for going to the movies with me when you visited Baltimore during summer '91. I wish you could've Stayed A Little While Child but I know you had to go back home in West Virginia. This song reminds me of that summer because it came on the radio that night after I took you home.
