Lots of people asked me to show you how to connect an external launchpad to Loopy Pro. That is relatively easy to do but in terms of learning and consolidate knowledge so far covered through the series, I thought it may be more logical to show you a couple of more things before delving into midi configuration and messages.
This video covers the following:
- Creation of a lookalike Launchpad inside Loopy Pro
- Creation of scene style launch buttons
- Recording drums using Digistix2
- Recording audio loops and phrases using StepBud as a midi source and Bleass Alpha as a synth
- Use of the panic button to stop left hanging notes between Audio Unit

Brilliant Leo, if only all tutors made their lessons as clean, tidy, easy to digest and at a pace we can understand as you! Thank you so much.

Excellent Leo! This gives us a simple Ableton-ish setup.. adding specific buttons exactly where you need them is really helpful.. just to have bigger versions of an already existing button (clock pause on/off).. 👍

Fantastic Series, these are hands on tutorials that really break down the app and this one has completely opened me up to how Loopy Pro can be the looper/Daw that I’ve been waiting for…thank you Leo! Keep going please🙏✌️

Another excellent tutorial. I really like the pacing of your teaching. It is very concise. It appears that you put much effort into pre-production in planning your lessons. If you take requests, here are two tutorials I would like to see in the future. 1. Live Looping Setup Build a foot-controlled rig by integrating a MIDI foot pedal into your setup. The end of Tutorial 15 (this one) would be a good starting point for this. 2. Hands-free Live Looping Setup Show how to use the Session view for a hands-free setup (in the style of Elise Trouw or Binkbeats).

@@soundformore Thanks! I am particularly interested in the Hands-free technique. I've been waiting for a program to address this approach ever since the demise of the Zen Audio application. That app did so many things right. It's workflow was so efficient and easy. I am hoping Loopy Pro can emulate that workflow in the Session view. I imagine it can. I heard Michael Tyson mention the Zen app once in an interview so I am guessing he is on it.

I have a question; I'm unsure if you've already covered it. I can see in my mixer that each mixer level targets a color group; if I want to put different effects for each clip, for example, how do I go about it? Can I have each clip have its own mixer channel?

You can add lots of colour groups, so I would say no problem…

No limit but with a high number of colours you will find it difficult to manage and see the differences between them…

Hi, THanks for your tutorials. I am completely getting crazy. Just trying to figure out a way that I can have one button that plays the next loop to the right, one that plays the one to the left or even better just chromatically from left to right and top to bottom each time I press it. The user interface is not that great and it is totally unclear when to do stuff in follow actions and when to use actions for that. The manual is more or less useless. Do you know how to do that?

Yes I do, but easier to create a video for this as otherwise I will have to write a long comment… have you already gone through the other tutorials in my playlist for Loopy Pro? I am asking because it may be already covered… if not I create another video tutorial for you, no problems…

Thanks a lot for your answer. I got the solution in the audiobus forum, might habe been the developer but I am not sure about that. The trick is to group the loops which then results in different possible actions like select above, below, left, right. I didnt dive in much deeper as I am having a studio with hardware and a daw and just need the app to be able to make some stuff for practising bass guitar without having to startup the whole studio
