Love these old films, I was surprised to see a Steiger in the film, their couldn't have been many of those in Holland !!! Keep the films coming, it's surprising to see how fast things have changed in the last 25 years or so.

Your right Christopher there were only a handful imported during the late 70s and early 80s. This farm was very large for Dutch standards (3.200 acres) and they actually ran 2 Panthers. One was replaced in 1992 by the early Challenger 75 that you can see briefly in action. Some smaller Bearcat models were also imported but most tractors sold were Panthers.

Thank-you for the reply. I don't know of a solitary Steiger imported into the UK under their name. The only models I know of were 'badge engineered' Fords then they were the FW/TW 60 series, - (we just don't have the fields big enough for them), and I believe a CaseIH but I have never found proof of it. Around that time the smaller early MB 'trac' tractors were starting to come from Germany and they just filled the remaining needs.
