what is the use of sugar beet leaves? Because they kept them in the trailer, but now we don't do this.

They were used to feed cattle.

What a lovely film. In the UK all we saw were Blue and Red tractors and machinery, - those were the days, potatoes in hessian sacks, uncovered machinery drives, H&S would have a fit nowadays. You had to "drive" the tractor then not just sit in the 'air conditioned' cab and leave it all up to some satellite to do most of the work. Then Ford and MF suddenly went, 'Corporate Business' took over, and we were deluged with American and European machines - was it all for the better - I sometimes wonder. Most of the food nowadays is either frozen or has so many additives it just doesn't taste the same as it used to, and of course we now have all these "fast food" places - I won't call them restaurants as they are not. I feel sorry in a way for the young of today as they don't know what they have missed, ok some things wanted improving on I'm not saying they didn't and it is for the better, but why does everybody have to be in such a rush. Firms nowadays want young staff so as they don't have to pay them so much, and by the time you're 35-40 you are 'disposed' of, and just how many opportunities are their for someone of that age? I apologise for 'going on' for so long but it's just the way I feel.
