Looleh Kabob (Persian Street Food) - Cooking with Yousef
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi friends, today we make another Iranian Street Food, and this was one that I remember from my childhood, though it is not as prevalent these days. This had many different names when I was growing up but maybe Kabob Looleh or Looleh Kabob (loleh) ((لوله کباب/ کباب لوله)) is most often used now.
This is a simple, fast, and tasty sandwich you can make and enjoy for lunch or dinner.
I did not add sauce to this I wanted to keep it traditional, but you can add any sauces you like to this enhance the flavor if you prefer
Ingredients List:
- 700 grams or 1/1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 Onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 small onion (for topping in the sandwich)
- 1 cup of parsley leaves (for topping in the sandwich)
- Sumac
- Optional Sauce

Thank you for that lovely video. That looks delicious. My dad is from Iran and taught my mom so many dishes. I took it for granted as a child eating Persian food almost every day. I miss it every day since I moved out. You remind of my dad a lot and I mean that in the best way. Also love the classic Persian fruit bowl with cucumber and the orchids. Reminds me of home.

Thank you for the wonderful comment my friend 💚
Always love your recipes! Growing up in NYC, there's a huge street food culture. These look wonderful!
Loved this one and the story about the vendor, I have had similar experiences in Lubnan, the food would smell so good but seeing the vendor make it made me restrain myself his hands did not look clean 😅.

Hello fellow half Persian who has neither the patience nor time to make most Persian dishes. They're amazing but they're so time consuming. Yousef definitely made this one look effortless though.
another great choice. Thank you! In Iran is it always or usually made with beef?

Salaam aghe Yousef, Next time I go to Tehran I will look out for this! There must be a big difference between street food before 1979 and now! This looks amazing and can’t wait to try it! Can’t wait for your next video! Merci! Dariush

@@CookingWithYousef I had a similar experience when I was in Tehran several Years ago, I had a street burger and got food poisoning and had to be taken to hospital. I found out after i had recovered and was released that it’s not the first time it’s happened at that place. Can’t wait for your next recipe! Merci! Dariush
U are great.

Looks delicious 😋 👍👍👍👍
I have been adding grated onion on the ground beef since I learned the kabob Koobideh recipe from you Yousep 😋. I love the flavor, even in hamburger patties, just grated onion, salt and black pepper. I will prepare looleh kaboh next time. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
This kebab looks so delicious. I’ll try tomorrow. Thank you for teaching

Hello! I have a show idea. Can you do an episode on different dips and how to use them. For example my mum makes yoghurt with crushed garlic in it and another with cucumber etc. Maybe you did it already I will look. Thanks for the great recipes.
❤️❤️❤️
TU...but Where is the yogurt? i made those in a Air fryer, turned out perfect.
Hi, thank you for your receipes... I would like to know if you happened to have dishes with eggplant and cheese, i believe goat cheese. Once i was invited to a buffet in a Persian restaurant and they had it there as part of the buffet. I tried to go back but it went out od business during pandemia. I had not ever tried such a delicious dish... I mean I love Persian meals, but that eggplant was one of the kind. It seemed all melted in cheese with some herbs.
I don't know who edits your videos but I would love to have a video of you doing a recipe in Farsi!
Thank you. I’ll be making tomorrow! I am Croatian and we make a similar recipe we call Cevapi. What brand of exhaust hood over your stove do you have in your kitchen? It looks like it works very well! Thank you again.
I tried it very very hot and still very delicious
