Who would've believed she wrote this song in 15 FREAKING MINUTES?!

She said songwriting is easy for her, what's challenging is how she will translate the melodies on her head to an imusic
Not sure if you've noticed this with the Daydream album... Listen to the tracks (lyrics & melodies) before "Looking In". She was in a daydream before she wakes up and goes back to reality, which is "Looking In". Excellent concept. She was basically telling us not to mind the "Cinderella story" or lifestyle she had/has. She was really in hell despite the image. Many of us don't know the real MC. Lambs have seen a bit of the real, humble, funny, intelligent, sensitive/bit insecure MC. But so many just see the diva image. She telling us to look beyond it...even now.

Can't wait for him to do that one.
This man could have never predicted knowing Mariah’s music so intricately
I definitely don’t mind you pointing out the overdubs in the track. That’s why we love Mariah, because she makes sure we get the BEST takes, she didn’t just phone it in vocally and call it a day like some other artists would!
I'll always be here for Mariah!
It´s only 15:45 into the instrumentation and I´m already in tears. When the cello came in I had to close my eyes. It took me to a whole nother place. I could hear the moog in my head playing along and this brought back all those feelings I had as a 14 year old when I played that album over and over again, trying to learn every sound, every lyric, every riff. It brought back the same felings of loneliness, longing and uncertainty that I had. The same feeling of finally being seen and understood. I say this with more and more tears rolling down my eyes. This album taught me music. Mariah was my first voice teacher. The first one who made me understand the importance of all the instruments in a musical ensemble. I would listen over and over again, each time trying to focus on on instrument. I´ve learned so much. This experience is showing me that. I can´t say thank you enough for this experience right here. Also, it saddens me so much that Mariah can´t forgive what Walter did. He really understood her musical mind and soul and complemented it perfectly. I don´t think she´s wrong for not forgiving him though. I can´t really ask this of her. But this song...this is special. It goes deep. It touches on feelings we avoid. It´s superb.

SAMMEEEEE
OUTISIDE BY MARIAH CAREY
also these beautiful and sad lyrics!!
i've always felt that this song was like a musical number. very dramatic instrumentation and melancholic melody... love these stems!
Such a vulnerable song from her, so emotional and raw. One of my fav from that album. Thanks!
With how upfront the lyrics are i’m surprised this song made it into the album considering how prisoned she was. Also thought it was all piano when i first heard the song as a kid back then.
Omg the second I heard the choir I thought of Ocarina of time too lmaooo
25:38 the clicks certainly came after the piano. I imagine Mariah mas singing her vocals to Walter as he played following her and then he used the clicks to structure the turns, bridges, etc...
Such powerful lyrics. So strong. BTW I love how you hear those little things and details. I follow your channel BECAUSE of this. 🙏🙏👏👏
This song has a intro which is even better🤯
Without Vocal and Guitar, sounds like Schindlers List soundtrack
You should do heavenly!
Can you do Music Box by Mariah Carey next plwase ❤
I don’t think your crazy lol I think Mariah’s overdubs on her later music is a little obvious because she takes all the versions of one line and takes the good parts from all them and peice them together and sometimes you can hear the switch in tone or just a gap in between words lol
Can you look into the one you love by Glenn Frey? Hehe it’s a really good song
Could you do the stems for “Sometimes” by Britney Spears?

@@cautionelusive Dang :/ weird how we only have 1 stem from that album
So unusual for a Mariah song not to have 78 layers of backing vocals, queen of switching it up when the song calls for it!
