I just found your channel. I am Mexican American but have very little Mexican heritage. My Grandma passed away when I was really young and so I didn't get to learn much from her. I have faint memories of the foods she cooked. Homemade chorizo and tortillas I remember fondly. Your channel reminds me of the heritage lost and that I can still learn it even with her gone. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge!

My dad is from Durango and he always talks about this. I'm going to make it, I always remember eating nopales con chile when I was in the rancho with him. I probably ate this as well but I can't remember because I was so young when I was in Durango.

My family makes this often. I've never heard of anyone else making it.. I didn't even know the origins. When I have looked in to how other people make it, my phone would just make it say asada...

@@Goveaaa_0420 My husband makes it and his father before him, so that is where I get it.. I've never used the orange, so that will be a lovely addition no doubt. But, yeah I was curious about where it came from because my husband didn't know and my phone just wouldn't accept "asado." I was happy to come across this today.

This is a family favorite!! Especially home made tortillas.

My husband is also from Durango. We have this same meal at every party and with him being one of 10 children who all of several kids of their own and even they have kids of their own now so that's alot of birthday parties 😂 Still it never gets old.
