Geat stuff. Please make this same video for spinning rods. Sorry, I'm not using a baitcasting rod for jerkbaits. Also, please add more fishing with different size jerkbaits at the end regardless if you catch fish or not. Its helpful to see the rod/lure in action, we know they all catch fish.

Yes please. I have both a bait casting and spinning combo for my jerk baits (Orochi XX Ronin paired with a Kage)

Great breakdown for specific techniques and equipment. For those of us that love to geek out on all this tackle, hopefully there's more videos to come...

I actually really like this format of breakdown and then showing a short snippet of how it looks in real life. It’s like we get 2 vids in 1. Also a great way to keep the audience engaged. Great video! I recently paired the P5 bait finesse with an aldebaran mgl and it’s been an amazing jerk bait rod. Very crisp and great parabolic action. A little underpowered for a 110 or 110+1 but it gets the job done 👌🏼

I've not tried the megabass jerkbait rods but I love the Diablo spec r. My favorite jerkbait rod is a shimano expride 6'10 med. Just Saturday I caught a 7lb walleye on it throwing a vision 110 in GG black shad which is my favorite jerkbait.

Great video guys I’m looking at getting the Orochi XX for 110’s and MegaDog X. Might get the Levante for 110s and jrs.

I ended up buying a Steez universal light not too long before they announced the P5 Oneten Special. It’s great, just like all the new compile-X Steez’s are. But if I knew of them beforehand I probably would have waited to get the P5. There’s just something special feeling about using a Megabass rod.

Great video, which one is best for fluke /hard jerk bait fishing and would you choose Megabass over Poison Adrena

I really like my 6”10 med/hev fast action Xpride. jerkbaits are easy to work with that fast action and if I’m worried about the power I can always use mono to soften the action more but that rod seems to pin them very well so not worried about it. In case anyone was looking for another cheaper option.

What about a good line up for top water walking and pop-r baits

Hey Ben, really wanna order a great skipping rod from you. What would you recommend?

Would you guys recommend the Orochi XXX F5-68K Super Orochi for throwing bigger jerkbaits like the LC Pointer 158, Megabass Kanata, and others that weigh around an ounce? I've been eyeballing it for a while, but am just not sure if it's the best option. I'm not even sure of any other rods that seem directly comparable.

Typically 10lb FC is perfect. But you can go either way…down to 8lb or up too 12lb if you are fishing heavy structure. But the lighter the line, the better the action, plus you do t want the line to effect the jerkbait by sinking or floating. Personally I use braid to 8lb FC leader

What about spinning jerkbiat Rods?

@@hunterbull7804 I think it was designed for hard baits in general not specifically for jerkbaits or they probably wouldn’t have went with 7’2”

Triza grills for the 110 and the Sparna for the great hunting 70 work great too. Sorry I’m in love with my Trizas 😂

@@shawnmassie6983 first off, the dragoon isn't just a big bait rod given it's rating. 3/8-3oz. Secondly, this rod will handle jigs just fine, along with large walking baits if you like them. I think you'll find the dragoon very useful given the two tip system. I really like to toss small swimbaits on mine along with magdrafts.

How the hell do we keep 4 of them on a kayak?

No spinning rod recommendation? Besides the Windbuster?

Randy Blauket recommended the orochi xx whipsnake for 110. Better then any other rod he said. Also he is one of the people that help design that bait. I’d peep his channel. Pioneer in the game
