Not a jet guy, but I find Thor turning into an A-10 kind of amusing, since that plane's official name is the Thunderbolt (II). Don't know if that was intentional, though, or if there's any connection beyond that.

@@Fluffkitscripts welp, it's quite likely that since it's a crossover line, they had a similar thought process then that they do now. so essentially alot of thode mould were abandonned/WIP they had lying around and half hazardly bashed, since they knew they had two different branding going on in the sales department.

A revival of this line but as Transformers characters as Marvel-inspired alt modes would be so cool. Imagine, Wheeljack as the Fantasticar, Seekers that become Asgardian space boats, Arcee as Ghost Rider's bike, Ironhide as Punisher's battlewagon, Jetfire as a Quinjet, and (it'd require another license but) Optimus Prime as US-1.

It's interesting to think about Transformers and Marvel crossing over, considering that the initial run of Transformers comics were intended to be part of the main Marvel Comics universe (Spider-Man even made an appearance in issue 3, which was written in continuity with the contemporary Spider-Man books), before Marvel decided that they didn't want toy books crossing over with their in-house series, and that connection was quietly retconned away.

Given that the fiction of these figures were that they were transforming mech suits that the marvel heroes and villain wore made by Tony and Doom respectively, it'd be cool if they did a run of Marvel crossover figures based on the Headmaster/Titan Master play pattern.

Venom transforming into a muscle car is so awesome as far as the concept goes. P.S. I had the Ghost Rider transformer

I know it’s not officially a Transformers line, but I was definitely expecting at least a brief mention of the Marvel Shape Shifters from a few years earlier (aka the line that people mostly remember for that infamous Punisher toy that turned into a gun and suffered from some seriously unfortunate/hilarious barrel placement)

Or the MegaMorphs and their weird air-pressure gimmicks & fragile pilot figures; apparently the design studio also worked with Hasbro on BM, TransTech and Armada, and reused the Immorticon design for the Hulk figure.

The thing I like about the Spider-Man motorcycle is that someone realized his web blasts would work as tailpipes.

I got me the bike Spider-Man figure a little while ago, since it was a figure I missed out from my initial Transformers fandom era (I was an Animated kid). It's a neat figure, and I would love to see Hasbro tackle this idea again with modern TF engineering and articulation.

Watching the Thing and Punisher figures just to find out they were cancelled really made my blood boil. I would've had so much fun with those 2 as a kid. Also, while watching the video i just though that maybe to give the line variety while still keeping it Iron Man centered would've been to give each different vehicle a unique armor deco. The Og jet could've stayed the same, but the truck could've easily been a Hulkbuster equivalent if given the proper headsculpt. Then do Silver Centurion, Stealth Armor, Mark I, Mark II, etc.

The original nickname given to the A-10 is the Thunderbolt, which is probably why that aircraft form was chosen for Thor. The rank and file pilots gave that aircraft the nickname Warthog.

Surprised you didn't mention Ultimate X-panse, the X-Men Blackbird jet Transformer that came out last year. He's easily the most premium Marvel Transformer ever released. I imagine they will do an Avengers Quinjet one day.

I find it odd how out of all the transformers that turns into racing vehicles, Wolverine is literally the only one that turns into a trophy truck

my main gripe with the line was the lack of villains. only Venom and Carnage, thats it. ina line full of giant robots and we couldnt have gotten Magneto? Dr Doom? Apocalypse? ULTRON!? just take one of the piles of Ironmen and repaint them into random ironman villains like crimson dynamo. also, the fact that Venom and Carnage, villains with organic goo-based powers were the ones chosen for this line makes no bloody sense to me. one benefit to the hordes of Ironmen though? they make for great army builders. since they all have mostly identical heads and decoes.

I used that Hulk Tank figure to make a custom figure of the Tank Vehicon from the Transformers Prime Videogame.

Since the A-10 thunderbolt is my favorite plane, I also wanted to see that Thor mold with a new head and less terrible colors.

I'm shocked you didn't cap it off with X-Panse from the new crossovers line. Would be neat if they did a toyline of repaints/retools of current characters as Marvel guys.

I love this line. I went mold completionist on them. I still regret not buying the Hulk Bulldozer because I planned to get it as The Thing but that didn't come out. My favorites are the Captain America Hummer, Wolverine SUV and the Venom Muscle Car.

Supposedly that wave 1 Hulk was based of Draxhall Jump’s design for Transtech Immorticon , which is a bizarre little bit of trivia.

I had more than a few of these. Off the top of my head the Iron Man car, jet and War Machine repaint, the Hulk, the X-Force Wolverine(black and silver is indeed cool), Thor, Cap, and Human Torch. The Thor is mistransformed in the pic though. The plane wings unfold more to make a much better cape. Also Wolverines claws pop out, which they didnt have to do, but appreciated. One last thing, these guys were BIG. Some were close to modern leader class height, and most were easily as big as modern Voyagers, for about 15 a pop.

Okay, hear me out. Hasbro has the Marvel license. Gears and Spider-Man teamed up in the third issue of the four-issue limited series that started it all. Gears is getting an update in United. Imagine if they did a Collaborative 3-pack of “Arachno-Gears” (United Gears in Spider-Man colors and decoed like the Spider-Car), “Symbiotron” (United Gears in black suit Spider-Man colors; the black looks it’s “rusting” Arachno-Gears’s red and blue), and “Marvelous Megatron” (Siege Megatron in Marvel colors).

I feel like I'm not gonna be the only one who's gonna mention Ultimate X-Spance, but tbf, he's his own thing that references a super hero vehicle whether a homage to a specific hero

There was a line of transforming marvel robots before this called Marvel MegaMorphs. It wasn't made by hasbro but instead a company called Toy Biz. They had tiny figures of the characters piloting the mechs, and there was even an official comic. I had the hulk tank thing from this line as a kid and im pretty sure I still have some bits of him swimming around in my drawer full of lego parts

The Spider-man motorcycle is probably the worst official transformer I’ve had. You can’t transform him without popping the legs off, or taking off the front wheel and windshield. I’m certain that’s not how it was intended.

It sucks that the Hulk tank is likely trademark'd by Marvel; it would be a perfect base for Fang, the member of Squadron X from IDW

I think a revival of this could be cool. I think the problem might be that it’d be hard to avoid using the same characters as the original line as I feel iron man, hulk, captain America, and ghost rider lend themselves best to robot modes and vehicle modes. It’d be cool to see a fantastic 4 set that combines into the fantasticar but can also split into the 4 individual sections like the fantasticar does.

No mention of X-Spanse? I got Venom and Ghost Rider relatively recently. They LOOK nice, but that's about it. It's really obvious they weren't built by the TF team. But at least they look really nice and that goes a long, long way.

The only one I got to pick up was the Iron Man jet and he's pretty cool. At least these figures were better than the MegaMorphs or that other transforming Marvel character line that had the Punisher as a battle axe or something.

I like how the bike Spidey is actually a retool of 07 Arcee which was a pretty smart decision they did as well as Wolverine having elements to 07 Voyager Ironhide. I guess they did it before Collabs existed for retools and shared engineering.

Spidey and '07 Arcee are two totally different toys. They do share some basic ideas, though.

It's infuriating how the best looking figures from the the Marvel Crossovers line were either at the very end of the line and are hard to find, or got cancelled. I would have absolutely loved that Punisher figure, the robot mode looks so freaking good! God, I wish they at least reused that mold for something else, but nope.. Fantastic-looking toy lost to time..

Anyone notice that the Hulk-Tank's front part (the thing under the cannon) is similar to, if not the same piece as RID2015 Bludgeon's front part under his cannons?

That's a different Punisher mold. I recall one, that had a very unfortunately placed cannon.

Most recently we got X-Jet Transformer.

How come we don’t get official TF X DC crossovers figures? I'd imagine a SS86 Blurr figure in Flash's color scheme with a new head.

Most likely because they don't want to ruin their relationship with Marvel. Hasbro already has the marvel rights and can rather easily join the two, but they'd need to get special licenses from DC for a couple figures like they did with Jurassic Park.

I think it got repetitious, but also it came out a little too early. If it happened a few years later when the Avengers movie hit, they wouldn't be able to keep them in shelves for too long. I think Hasbro just gave up cuz these didn't sell that well, but they missed the opportunity to do them again by the time the MCU was at its peak (and the TF movies still made money, so the combination would surely made a lot of kids buy it)

I had grey hulk, war machine, Thor's A10, and a wolverine off road SUV that had pop out claws when u pressed a button on their fists. I've paused this at the start to write this comment and straight away the normal version of the hulk is on screen. Looking forward to this video taking me back, I might try and track them down if they ain't too pricey

Interestingly when this showed up in my recommended, I was fiddling around with the Spider-Man race car one. I have quite a lot from this line still. Wish that Punisher one came out.

Actually, two A-listers, and a B-lister. Iron Man didn't become a A-lister until the movie. And for the person that is about to type a "nuh-uh! Iron Man was Too an A-lister." Marvel has a DEEP Bench. Spidey, Hulk, X-men (as a team, MAYBE Wolverine solo), and the FF were the A-list. Most of the MCU Phase 1-2 were B-list - because Marvel sold the film rights to all the A-list. And keep in mind the GotG (original 30th century team or the modern reinvention) and Alpha Flight were C- or D-list, while Beta Flight and the Great Lakes Avengers were more like F- or G-List. DEEP Bench!

The A-10 is a badass plane (more of a gun with wings)but I don’t think it works for Thor.

I think they realized they couldn't make all the fantastic 4 because what do you turn mr fantastic into? invisible woman is obvious you make her a translucent F1 car which will do double duty as a female mirage.

I never got any of the Marvel Crossovers. I can't speak for anyone else but the reason I never got into them is because they continued to do that thing where they make the robot mode just look like the characters which I never liked in the Star Wars toy line. But also now they're not even making real vehicles that actually exist in Marvel comics. They did actually make the X-Men's jet out of the RotF Jetfire more recently as an original character rather than just making it as an X-Men character that I think turned out better than any of the previous crossovers because it's an actual Transformer. The original Crossover line I don't think appealed to Transformers fans because they weren't Cybertronian characters and didn't appeal to Marvel fans because they didn't actually represent anything from the comics. If they made another attempt at a Marvel Transformers crossover line what I would actually want... Ghost Rider could actually work as a Transformer but instead of just making the robot mode look like the character instead make it a Cybertronian named Spark Rider... A play on the idea that the Spark is used as the Cybertronian equivalent of a Ghost. Instead of having a flaming skull head because that doesn't really make sense for a robot just have a translucent blue effect part made to look like a physical representation of a spark in toy form where the head would usually be. As if this Cybertronian Spark is actually possessing and changing the shape of Ghost Rider's motorcycle to form a robot body for itself. That would actually be a really cool idea for a toy and a cross over story line. Another one I'd really love to see is Venom because canonically Megatron did literally fight Black suit Spider-man in the comics and could actually have had contact with Venom in the fiction. So instead of making robot Venom that transforms into some random vehicle, actually take a Megatron mold and retool it to look like he's wearing the Venom symbiote. Having an actual Vemon Megatron would be so much better to me than random Venom toy that turns into a car for some reason. Or a black version of Spider-man that turns into a motorcycle. Those aren't interesting because they aren't Transformers, they're just failing to be either of the things they're trying to crossover. The only Marvel Transformers that actually worked are the Ironman ones because I could totally picture Tony Stark in a world where he's aware of Cybertronians building his own Transformer inspired mech suits. That's just completely in character with who Tony Stark is. But yeah there was just too many of them and I think his original Jet was the best one, they just kept getting worse after that.

I may be having a serious case of the Mandala Effect here, but I swear I remember seeing an ad for these in a Daredevil comic, but there was a Wolverine who turned into what looked like a sort of VTOL Jet, but it mostly just looked like his arms were sticking out to the side.

I'm pretty sure that you already know this but they did do a X-Men Blackbird that transformed. It tried to merge several X-Men together in its robot form. They also did a Maverick transformer as well. If they do a another line of marvel crossover with transformers, what would be the best pair for characters that they haven't done yet? My pic Black widow- sport car or motorcycle Hawkeye- hoverbike, motorcycle, or jet Ant-Man- helicopter Wasp- jet Falcon- jet Storm- overjet Black panther - car or 1 of there flight vehicles If they do a line that crossover with DC characters, what vehicles do you think would they cross over with? Especially with Superman. One more thing, I think Spider-Man could have the spider buggy combined with the spider cycle to form a robot. The motorcycle would become the head while the spider buggy could become the main body.

The only Marvel TF toy I had was the Human Torch, I was hesitant to get the tank transforming Hulk toy, but I change my mind for some weird and unknown reason….
